Mediterranean Palace Hotel is one of the 5 five-star hotels which compose the Mare Nostrum Resort. The other hotels are: Sir Anthony Palace, Cleopatra Palace, Marco Antonio Palace, Julio Cesar Palace Hotel.
The Mediterranean Palace is a bright, spacious hotel including an impressive swimming pool with water features. Around the pool is a large terrace with deckchairs and waiter service as well as a sweeping marble staircase. Guests encounter spectacular steps lined by marble statues on either side on arrival. 3 spectacular crystal chandeliers dominate the magnificent lobby finished in marble, reflecting the lake in the centre. The 4 panoramic lifts provide guests with a wonderful view of the interior of the hotel.
A noble and elegant restaurant is waiting to offer all types of local and international dishes, all that may be expected from a select cuisine. A fully equipped aerobics room, various saunas, tennis court, mini golf, will help guests to keep fit during their stay. This hotel has also one of the most spectacular swimming pool of the island, with its fountains and 1300 square meters.
The hotel has 41 junior suites with separate sitting room, 12 of which also have their own private swimming pool.

"best location in tenerife"
maybe i agree its not an upto date 5 star hotel i do feel that in its day, about fifteen years ago, when the other big hotels around it werent even thought of, then this hotel was the best on the island and deserved its 5 star rating. what makes the hotel now is its location. bang smack on the beach and being the main face of the new "mare nostrum" resort you have surrounding it the best shopping complex on the island and plenty of bars and restaurants to go to inan evening. in my opinion only pay for bed and breakfast basis. there are too many beautiful fish restaurants to try within 5 mins walk of the hotel and eating out is relatively easy to do on a budget. its situated exactly in the middle of las americas and los cristianos so its only a 10 minute walk along the beach to the middle of both resorts. i have been going to tenerife every year from the age of about 5 and i simply will not be looking to stay at any other hotel now i have stayed at the med palace. unless ofcourse i win the lottery and then you will see me at the bahia del duque, that is simply one of the best hotels i have ever seen, and believe me i have seen a lot of the best hotels in the best parts of the world, rome, paris, usa, caribbean. if you can afford it go there and disregard all i have said! p.s if your interested in sunbathing totally naked then there is a discreet high floor pool area at the med palace called the adam and eve garden, its an experience if nothing else! |

"Superb location, an excellent choice for B&B."
We have just returned from a week at the excellent Mediterranean Palace Hotel. We stayed on B&B basis and would advise anybody else to do this and not take up the half board option as there is a good choice of excellent restaurants situated nearby and most are reasonably priced. The breakfast buffet served in the hotel is of an excellent standard and there is something to suit all tastes.
The rooms and all communal areas in the hotel are kept spotlessly clean by the cleaning staff. We had a junior suite and felt that it was worth the extra cost as the room was very spacious, with a much bigger balcony area and a nice view.
All the staff in the hotel were very friendly and we did not encounter any language problems.
Some previous reviewers have stated that the hotel is in urgent need of a revamp, whilst some areas of the hotel are showing signs of age, the hotel is still in excellent condition and is most certainly one of the best hotels in Tenerife.
We highly recommend the Mediterranean Palace Hotel.
