"Absolutely Fantastic Hotel!!"
I was a little bit wary when we 1st booked to go to Bulgaria, as it was out first time out there and we weren't sure what to expect. Unfortunately we were only there on a short break - what a shame we weren't staying longer!! On arrival the hotel looks very impressive, both inside and out. Everything was spotlessly clean - couldn't fault a thing. I couldn't believe how nice our room was. It was huge, and the bed, well, it was massive and sooo comfy. It had all the extras in there: LCD television, bathrobes, shower & bath stuff etc. The decor was how it should be for a 5* deluxe - really, really nice. Also, the balcony had a fantastic view of the pool & sea. The hotel has brilliant facilities, the outdoor pool was massive - but also exceptionally cold - great cure for a hangover!!! The Indoor pool is also really striking, a good size too. The buffet breakfast was also good, catering for all sorts’ different cultures/tastes. We didn't actually eat in the hotel for lunch/dinner so I can't really comment on that. I was told they are adding more restaurants to the hotel - A La Carte sort of menu's. Location wise - it's right on the beach and just a short walk away from all the market/shops & restaurants/bars. It is a short taxi ride away from Albena/Varna/Bolcheck - but even that isn't expensive. Overall a superb hotel that I would recommend to anyone - absolutely fantastic!!

"Deluxe Hotel"
This is the best hotel in Golden Sands. We paid EUR99.00 for a sea vew room with bkfast and dinner. The rooms are really nice and spacious,very modern and clean.Swimming pools and SPA are 5*. Having a drink in the hotel in expencive by Bulgarian standarts. For the same drink you will pay 3 times less in Varna town. Overall the best hotel in Golden sands.

"Nice place not only for business but also for pleasure!"
Was now the second time that I was there and there's been quite some changes to my previous stay. They hotel seems now more and more open in full swing, there was quite a conference or something going on. What is still the same and did not change is the VERY friendly staff! Hope you all enjoy your stay there like I did and even more so I hope I can go back next time a few days more to not just do business but also relax a bit in their nice pool.

"Best Hotel in the Resort"
Had an enjoyable stay at the Grand. It certainly looks very impressive and stands out amongst the other hotels. Could do with a few additions to make it a true 5 star, i.e providing water in the room would be nice and there were no tea/coffee making facilities and we had a Deluxe room, so would have expected that. Golden Sands resort is ok, but watch out for the PR guys who stop you every 10 seconds trying to get you to eat in the restaurants, its really annoying. Beach and Pool area lovely couldnt fault it. Staff friendly and always happy to help. Be warned as we were totally ripped off by the taxi driver, taking us from the airport to the hotel, should cost no more than 50 LEVs. It was a metered taxi, but he took us the long way around and as it was pitch black and foggy it was hard to tell where we were actually going. Hire a car for the day too, as there is more to Bulgaria than just a 'plastic' resort, well worth doing. Visit the Petrified Forest if you can find it, we couldnt as given wrong directions, but its only 10 miles from Varna, known as the 8th wonder of the world. Botanical Gardens is worth a visit too and there is a lovely little cafe in there for lunch. Overall, Bulgaria has a lot to offer and I would recommend a visit and would go back again and stay at this hotel.

"Excellent!"
This was an excellent hotel, not quite finished but the primotional room rates more than compensated for this. The indoor pool was very good size and decent gym. The rooms were excellent, large, clean and luxurious! Staff were a bit stern and I didn't feel they went that 'extra mile' to look after their guests. Overall , a very pleasant stay which will improve further in 2006 when all the facilities are available.
