"Fab hotel"
We have just returned from a week in this hotel and it was absolutley fab, total relaxation, the gardens round the pool are spacious and kept immaculate. We have never stayed round a hotel pool before, but this one was just too nice not to, we had a ground floor room so it was a case of out of through the patio doors onto your lounger. Breakfast was nice, didn't eat in any other time. We found dining out quite reasonable, but drinks do vary quite a lot in price, 22 euros was the most i think we paid for 2 pints and 2 halves of lager, (local lager) 13 euros was the cheapest we found. Would defo return, and would love same room (153)

"Fantastic Hotel and Great Location!!"
I have to say I was truly impressed with this hotel. Having trawled the Internet for hours looking for somewhere with a good standard and within walking distance of Puerto Banus I tripped across this beauty. Initial reviews on here re theft and decor were a concern but I saw absolutely no evidence of that throughout our entire stay. The rooms are extremely clean, secure and have a safe provided. In addition it has clearly recently been refurbished, the pics on this site are representative of the rooms at all levels, not knocked off likenesses. There were three of us in the party (all blokes) with two double beds in the room and one single which they added on our arrival. The sole purpose of the trip was to kick back, play golf and make use of the extensive nightlife in Puerto Banus. We got all 3! Both outdoor poolsides are relaxing and well equipped, the beach is a stones throw away over the road and Puerto Banus about 5-10 mins walk along a beach front promenade. The only negative thing I would say is that the staff do struggle a bit with speaking English, a couple of them do pretty well but if they're not around it can be hard work. The waiting staff can be painfully slow at coming to take your order unless you make it very clear you are ready. We only went B&B but from what I saw I would highly recommend at least half board; the lunch and dinner buffets looked magnificent. So all in all I was pretty chuffed with this find and will no doubt go back there again. Suitable for families, couples and groups; you won't be disappointed with this place.

"Great vacation in Marbella"
Stayed in March 2007 with my wife and had a wonderful time at the Melia. Temperature was around 24 celcius which is a bit cold to swin. The view from the beach of the mountains is incredible! Puerto Banus is a 5-10 minute walk on your right hand side once you've reached the beach using the back entrance door of the property. In Puerto Banus ther is a Supercor supermarket where you will find tons of things to buy (beer, wine, cheese, bread, chips, etc) to eat in your hotel room. We took the room with the breakfast included and the food was quite good. We visited Malaga and did a walking tour which was quite interesting. We also took a bus from the bus station in Marbella to Rhonda, a must for every visitor!! We also visited the old Marbella town center and had a few drinks in Plaza de Naranja. We took a cheap flight on Vueling airlines from Malaga to Barcelona (20 Euro each). Resort was an excellent choice. Visited the Marbella Casino and lost a few Euro. We took a wonderful walk from Puerto Banus to Marbella city center on the beach using the pedestrian trail, this was quite the treck i.e. about 14 KM (from Puerto Banus to Marbella and back) but it was worth every steps !! Amazing day spent walking back and forth from I would stay in this resort again if I ever end up in Marbella again.

"fantastic hotel"
we are just back from the melia dinimar and loved it.the bedrooms are so nice ,you have 3 pools to choose from and one is an indoor pool. the food is fantastic the chef will cook chicken, steak or fish made to order breakfast is also a good choice and the chef will cook eggs any way you want them.

"Lovely hotel, fab food, Celeb spotting and designer shopping."
My husband and I (both age 30) stayed here and loved it. We are not really ones for staying anywhere half or full board as we like to eat out at all sorts of places. On this occassion hearing that Puerto Banus was expensive I thought we would stay half board - just incase it was too much to eat out so we can always eat at the hotel on a last resort. Well we wish we stayed full board! the food was brilliant. It was buffet style so eat as much as you want but I know buffet style does sound cheap and cheerful which this certainly wasnt! The food at the hotel was fab. They even had a chef who cooked to order any fish or meat. It was like the meat deli counter at tescos - you chose your meat or fish which even included fillet steaks and the chef cooked it in front of you. Some people who only stayed B&B regreted not staying half or full board and tryed to upgrade their holiday from B&B but the hotel would not allow this. To eat and pay for the buffet dinner was something like 60 euros each which was a rip off. The pools were lovely but no shadey areas by either pools. And there was no entertainment at the hotel. I would go back again just for the food!!! Puerto Banus is a 10 min walk away. Because we ate at the hotel we did struggle to do much at night as we didnt really find many bars that opened before 1am! Most of the places at PB were restaurants. There is a food supermarket which sold designer clothes La Coute (I think it was called - a green logo). That was well worth a look at. The clothes were cheaper in there than the designer shops. Saw lots of celebs, footballers whilst we were there. Saw Max Clifford the PR guru, John Barnes and some man off Sky Sports. Hear Meg Matthews was there too but didnt see her. Lots of millionaires with their flash cars and boats. You will need to take some pennies with you - not a cheap place to stay at. ENJOY!

best buffet ever
the hotel was clean bedrooms a good size with 2 queen beds indoor pool not very big service good but the best was the food chef grilling your choosen meat or fish in front of you with plenty of other dishes to choose from as well. ticks all the boxes for me
