This hotel is located 200 m from Lousa town centre. Restaurants, clubs and bars can be found between 1 and 2 km away. From Lousa castle guests can admire the charming chapels erected in honour of Nossa Senhora dos Aflitos, S. Joao Batista, Nossa Senhora da Agonia and, right on top of the mountain, the Chapel of Nossa Senhora da Piedade. This could be the beginning of one of the many routes that lead guests, on foot or by jeep, to explore the Lousa Mountain. But Lousa is not only a mountain, it has many other interesting sights: manor houses dating from the 18th and 19th Centuries are a feature on many streets. The Misericordia and its chapel, the parish church, and the beautiful Baroque-style building of the town council contribute to this walk through history ending at the medieval bridge of Foz de Arouce.

Housed in the 18th Century Palacio da Viscondessa do Espinhal, this hotel combines an ambiance of charm combined with all the comfort offered by a modern hotel. It has two wings: the palace, with period decoration and a new wing decorated in modern style. The hotel comprises a total of 46 rooms, a garden and a terrace. Facilities on offer to guests in this charming, air-conditioned historical establishment include a lobby area with a 24-hour reception, a hotel safe, a lift, a bar and a restaurant. For an additional fee, guests may also take advantage of the room and laundry services.
