"Great Location... Nice Hotel...."
Oct. 17th, 2003 for two nights.... When we drove into town did not know where to stay.... We were delighted to find Melia Valencia Palace Hotel... Very modern hotel and great location.... All the amenities... However, found the most of the hotel staff could not help us with sightseeing and transportation information in the city.... We also received a parking ticket because the hotel clerk gave us bad information about metered parking overnight in Valencia... The breakfast which was included in the rate (143 euros) for two, was excellent. Fresh O.J. and many breakfast items to choose from, not just croissants, danishes, and coffee.... Upgrade the staff and this hotel might be worth the money spent.

"First Class"
Location good, short walk across the bridge to the main shopping thoroughfare, 10 minute stroll to Mastella Stadium for the football and very safe and well lit up loaction for walking about at night. Facilities are excellent, smallish bar area downstairs but plenty of overflow space in massive reception/foyer area, rooms all mod cons and mini bars, complimentary toiletries etc. Braekfast to suit english and european standars and a fresh orange juice maker, excellent! Wasnt paying myself so cant quote value for money, but if thats not a problem to you this is an excellent hotel.

"Excellent value for money - Melia Valencia Palace"
This is a perfectly fine hotel from which to base your sightseeing in Valencia. We spent 3 nights here in August. The old town is a bit of a walk - although a very pleasant one - 30-45 mins (depending on your pace) along the Turia gardens to the Mercado Central. However, it is a very manageable walk to both the Carrer Colon (shopping) and the Ciudad de les Artes y Las Ciencias. The outdoor swimming pool though small always seemed to have room for all the guests who wanted to use it - and was a very nice way to spend a couple of hours after the sightseeing. Rooms are good size with nice view of the Palau de Musica fountains - with nice bathroom and good power shower. Probably wouldn't rate it 5 Stars but then we didn't pay 5 star prices (approx £62 a night for the room on Expedia). Recommend the tapas bars on the streets off the Pl. Canovas.

"Excellent Location and Rooms!"
We stayed in the Melia Valencia Palace for three nights, and I was thrilled with the hotel. As it was a holiday weekend, it seems we paid more than other reviewers here (150 euro a night), but it was well worth it. It is only a short walk over the bridge to the city, and it is all very safe. Taxi rides to the Plaza de la Reina or Calle Cabellero only take 5 minutes and cost on average 5 euro. Taxi rides to the beach cost only 6 euro. And you can walk to La Ciudad des Artes y Ciencias. Finally, the pool is great! Even though it was crowded at times, people are always coming and going, so it's never long to wait for a chair. In fact, some mornings around 11am, the pool was simply empty. We will definitely return.
