Founded in 1861 and located in the centre of Lugo (2000 year old city) with a very important roman wall wich dates back to its roman origin, the Mendez Nunez Hotel has the privilege of being located in the historic and commercial centre of Lugo.

Since its foundation, in 1861, the Hotel has been managed by its owners, the Garcia Bobadilla family, a family with great experience and prestige in the Hotel business world, nowadays the director is Francisco García Bobadilla.

The previous enlargement of the Hotel Mendez Nunez dated back to 1964. This and the necessity of adding new services in the rooms, is one of the reasons why Jacobo Garcia-Bobadilla Prosper (the Hotel manager) realized of the urgent necessity of carrying out a modernization programme in 2004.

The Hotel is situated in Calle de la Reina. This street is inside the Roman Wall, you can get there by Gran Teatro street or Montevideo street if you come by car.
