The 106-year old, Mercure Metropol Hotel was built for the Millennium celebrations, and it is one of the few Hungarian hotels which was preserved during the wars. Behind the traditional facade hides a recently refurbished interior with all modern conveniences.

In the hotel you can find a cosy restaurant with salad bar and a drink bar open until midnight. Should you need a location for you business meeting, training or seminar, the meeting rooms and skilled staff are at your disposal.
LOCATION

Mercure Metropol Hotel is situated on the Pest side halfway between the Danube and the eastern railway station. The most significant sights and public institutions of the city are within easy reach.

"no complaints"
this is a modern hotel,rooms are key card entry,spacious,comfortable and with air-con.The breakfasts are very good with a good choice to suit most tastes.The receptionists speak good English and German and are helpful.I have no complaints for this hotel.The hotel is on a busy main road(double glazed windows help to sound proof) but it is a good location with a bus stop on the door step,metro station nearby,Keleti railway station about a 10 min walk.The Danube and the Elizabeth bridge are about 15 to 20 mins walk.

"Modern, smart and great value"
Stayed here on long weekend. The hotel had a spacious room with double glazing that completely eliminated the city noise. It is conveniently located for access to the main sites, shops, bars etc (approx 10 minute walk away). Staff are friendly and speak good english. Recommend the international breakfast buffet. Only slight drawback was the rooms get hot so you have to open the window, which lets in traffic noise from a busy main street.

Just spent 3 days at the Metropole. It's wonderful! Spacious room, Satellite TV, minibar. Very central - just 2 stops from Deak Ferenc Ter city centre station.

"Lovely child-friendly Hotel"
Just retuned from 5 night stay at this hotel with my husband and our 4 year old son. The room was spacious and comfortable. The separate toilet and bathroom was a nice touch. The latter was fine . The staff were all very courteous and helpful. Be warned that there are roadworks just round the corner from the hotel so if your taxi drops you to the hotel from that end they will not go round to the front of the hotel. It is literally a few steps to the entrance but our taxi driver from the airport dumped my luggage unceremoniously on the pavement and literally shooed me out of the taxi with a sleeping child. I was relieved to see the hotel just round the corner and the porter rushed to help me but for a few moments I felt like I was in a nightmare. The hotel is centrally located and very convenient for shopping and sight seeing.
