"Satisfied" Stayed for 6 nights at Mercure. Booked at mercure.com and payed an average of 85Eu/nite. Location is good: Westbanhof train station is accross the street, subway station and trams are adjacent to the hotel. We were leaving Vienna via Sudbanhoff, and Tram 18 got us there in under 20 minutes. Area felt quite safe at nite, despite previous reviews. During the day there are plenty of cafe's open for breakfast and lunch, which are much cheaper than hotel's 13Euro/person. Rooms are clean and decent size. Bathroom was a bit small, but very clean. My only complaint was that room temperature cannot be controlled from within the room. On one night it got so cold, that I had to climb up to the AC vent and manually close the flaps. Also, hotel offers a competitive no-commission currency exchange rate. Overall, I would stay there again if the rates are cheap enough.

"Superb!" Just spent 3 days in the said hotel and I was delighted with it. It was clean, comfortable and in an enviable position beside the station and main shopping area. Staff were polite and efficient while rooms were modern with all mod cons. (they were slightly small however) The food was first class and the area was lovely in contrast to other reports on this site. All in all a great hotel which is excellent value for money.
