"Great value for a short stay"
Only in Brisbane for 2 days, so only the 1 night here, but was impressed. The reception was lovely and the staff all very helpful. Good location for exploring the city centre and the Southbank area is only a walk or a short ferry hop over the river.
Ample sized room for a short stay and although the outdoor pool was only small at least it has one which i think is more the it's local rivals had.
Would defintely return.

"Had a great stay at the Mercure."
Stayed at the mercure for 5 nights (19th-24th Feb) booked an executive suit on the 14 floor over looking the river, great room, great view. the buffet breakfast was brill and so was the buffet dinner the times we tried it, the staff were friendly and helpful.
downside the pool and sauna where out of action for revamp were'nt told of this when we booked and also if your driving the wilson carpark under the mercure gets busy so your car may get blocked in.
Great hotel in a great location would stay again.

"Great service, good value, lovely staff"
Booked the hotel through Austravel and after some of the places we stayed, this was fab. Lovely welcoming staff, very helpful, nice rooms, clean and great views - loved it and highly recommend it! They were decorating when we were there but didn't bother us -they are also refurbushing the pool so it wasn't available, but again, we didn't need it as weren't there long enough but will probably be ready for future guests.

"No Worries here!"
We arrived in Brisbane after traveling from NYC to LA and after 2 very long flights we were happy to be at the Mercure. It was our first stop one a trip to Brisbane, Sydney, Adelaide and Melbourne. Upon checking in we took a nap. We were awoken by Ben, a concierge, who brought us fresh fruit and juice, a gift from our travel agent. Ben was one of the highlights of this hotel. From getting excellent seats at restaurants to calling for a taxi he always had a smile and is one of the nicest people I have ever met traveling. We stayed in a superior room for 4 nights. The bathroom was clean. If you are looking for Wifi be sure to request a room on a higher floor (which we had). Apparently the lower floors have data ports. The breakfast buffet is expensive but the food is delicious. Included in it are eggs, meats, pancakes, crepes, assorted muffins, pastries, breads, cereal, fresh juices, tea, coffee, cappuccino, fruits, yoghurt and fresh honey still on the comb. Food in Brisbane in general is more expensive than other cities as they are charged taxes for food imported from New South Wales and South Australia. The staff overall was helpful and friendly. Parking is located under the hotel. As with many places parking is a premium and spaces are very small and tricky to get in and out of. The hotel is within walking area of the casino, shops, restaurants, historical sites. When renting a car Avis is the only agency with GPS. Petrol stations are found on the outskirts of the city, you will pass a few on the way from the airport to the hotel. The city is beautiful and manageable. The weather in November was perfect. It was not warm enough to use the pool, however it needed some work. Tiles around it were cracked. We did go to North Stradbroke Island, Straddie to the locals. Its worth the ferry ride and absolutely beautiful. You can spend a day there at the beach and driving around. I would stay there again and recommend it as a great value.
