"good position"
Palermo was horrible and this hotel provided a quiet, safe clean haven. The rooms were very good, the breakfast excellent. Position is good for most of what you would want to see.....that is if you have to go to Palermo at all.

"Great location"
We stayed in Palermo for 4 nights, clean well located hotel, ideal for night life and many restaurants and bars with walking distance. Just off Via Roma - easy to hop on a bus - but don't forget to get a ticket and validate it, we watch the ticket inspectors at work and they take no prisoners. Hotel is starting to loose it edge, shower leaked, stainig around shower basin, odd ceramic tiles missing. However would stay again. Breakfast - bread, cerals,fruit, cold meats, cheese,pasteries and scrabled egg and bacon. BUT NO ORGANISATION, ie. no fruit juice but glasses, then fruit juice but no glasses, and the (male) staff are not interested, ask for something they show interest and then ignore you. This sounds negative do not be put off by minor points that spoil a well located and pleasant hotel.

"Very Nice Hotel"
Stayed here 4 nights in late October, 2006. This is a centrally located hotel just off Via Roma, 30-minute walk from the main train station. English-speaking staff. The room is spacious and well furnished. They served a very impressive breakfast. Recommended.

"Some practical information"
Six of us stayed this Christmas, including two over-80s, and two young adults. Rooms 501 and 503 looked over the fire escape, so avoid them. Rooms 502 and 505 are smaller singles. The better rooms are 504, 506 and 507. 508 is a double, quite cosy. All the rooms are well equipped and clean, and smell nice with comfy beds. I assume that the same applies for the other floors (up to 8th). We slept with the windows open, and you hear the via Roma traffic. Also the Christmas bells and fireworks! The staff were all very nice and helpful. The breakfast was excellent in range, quality and amounts. The parking garage requires a little skill to use, but is safe. We ate at Sanandrea which was much liked all round, and at Cin Cin which had excellent food but is in an elegant cellar. Driving in Palermo is good fun, but make sure you know the width of your car! Would certainly go back to the hotel.
