"hotel in a quiet area near metro"
my hotel room was small in dimension but the hotel also has a small number of rooms so there is a homely atmosphere to it.the staff are very polite and understand english.room had tv & heating but my room had no a/c or fridge.we left the big windows open to keep cool as it was peak of summer.it is 100meters from oberkampf metro so you dont need taxi to/from airport.to me location(metro), price and cleanliness is most important than luxury features so thats why i think this hotel is good for the Paris site-see er.there are 2cafes/ supermarket &wine shop& bakery & all night grocer around the block and a morning food market 20m away too.you can indulge in french delights very cheaply here. i would stay again at this hotel.

"home from home"
The hotel, L'Hotel de Mericourt , was very good indeed , we got what be paid for , a basic hotel , very tidy room , cleaned everyday , and a nice balcony view of the street , previous reviews said it was noisy , yes there is some car noise bit nothing to loud that u cant get a good nights sleep . breakfast was also very good , continental of course , choc au pan , croissants , and a crusty bread all fresh , the staff at the hotel where very friendly and helpfull , on many occasions we sought there advice , the hotel is two streets from the omakamph metro station , from there paris is yours to see , there are aslo plenty of small cafes, in the sourronding streets of the L'Hotel de Mericourt , and a market on thursday , all in all fantastic area , very safe , i can recommended this hotel 100%

"Good quality/price in Paris!!!"
I booked that hotel through gtahotels and I must say it was the best place, when you are on a budget, where I have stayed in Paris so far.
The staff was very friendly and accommodating and specially the night manager who got my breakfast ready at 6.00am.
The room is a decent size for a hotel in Paris, it is clean and they are not cheap with the amenities like the Campanile Hotels for exemple.
The breakfast was included and it was quite big: each and evry person gets a croissant, a piece of baguette, orange juice, tea or coffee, jam, butter. I cannot remember everything but it was a nice breakfast.
The location is great and it is close by the Oberkampf metro station.
A definite YES if you are on a budget!
