We stayed at the MetroPark Kowloon for 4 nights and thoroughly enjoyed ourselves.(25 Sept to 28 Sept 2006)
The non smoking room was exactly that, not a hint of smoke.
It was in excellent condition, clean and bright, with sufficient room for all our bits and pieces.
The Bathroom was of good size and the equipment in good order, cleanliness could not be faulted.
Toiletries were replenished as soon as used, despite a notice advising that towels would only be replaced if left in the bath, all our linen including bed linen was changed daily. (Didn't realise I was that dirty)
I was impressed with the bank of 4 square pin electrical sockets at table top level with the internet connection close by, the extra nice touch was a connector cable for use from the point to a laptop. (handy if you leave home without yours.)
All the staff were very friendly and more than helpful.
We did not use the dining facilities, bar or pool so cannot comment on them. The TV was not even switched on.
I was more than happy with the location, yes it is away from the hustle and bustle of the exclusive shopping areas, but I liked stretching my legs with a gentle stroll to Monkok and being with the locals of Kowloon as they went about their daily business.
All in all we had a wonderful time and experience, we all have different tastes, so what is good for one may not be right for another.
I would happily return to this hotel for another holiday.
Foot note,
I completed the hotel questionnaire and made favourable comments before leaving, when I returned home there was an Email from the Assistant manager thanking me for my comments and for taking the time to fill out the form, what a nice touch.
