"staff very freindly and helpful"
We had problems with another hotel and so arrived at The Metropol with no where else to stay. The receptionist was very helpful and friendly. The room was clean and bright. Very quiet. The breakfast was good. Would frecommend this Hotel to any one. As a medium budget hotel it was excellent value.

"A decent standby"
Staying on Paris on a budget is never going to be superb and the Metropol isn't a bad choice at all. The rooms are dated but the standard of cleaning is good and there would be room to swing a small kitten if not the full moggy. Staff are friendly. The joy of the hotel is location though - you can be in your room within 10 minutes of arriving in Paris via Eurostar. Very good rates can be had - I paid 60 euros for a double.
