recommend it!
Me and my best friend picked this hotel on our trip to Vancouver. It is easy to reach the hotel, well located. Room amenities are modern. I liked my room with big windows viewing the vibrant city - Vancouver. I ate at Diva and foods were good. If you like shopping I can recommend you to go Pasific centre shopping which is very close to the hotel. The hotel is a good choice in Vancouver and provides a nice stay. |

"Nice hotel in great location!!!!!!"
First of all, the hotel is walking distance from the cruise terminal, the sea bus, SkyTrain, and needless to say, bus transportation. The location couldn't be better to explore the city. Everywhere we went, we always ended up within a few blocks of the hotel :-)
The rooms are spacious, clean, and well furnished. The bed is very very comfortable! The bathroom is also very nice and clean.
I liked coming to the room every night and finding the weather card on my pillow. This was a nice service.
The minibar was expensive -like in most hotels- but they had two bottles of water free. Nice touch as well.
The restaurant was EXCELLENT! We went for dinner one night and the service and the food were above our expectations. We never went for breakfast or lunch, so I can't comment on that.
Oh, the towels were big and *good*! (I hate towels that look pretty but don't dry....)
The concierge service was ok. We wanted to go to Victoria and the "only option" they knew was the tour. They didn't know how one could go by public transportation.... (About $100/person cheaper!). Since we were so close to the station, we went there and asked. It took the same time as the tour, but MUCH cheaper!!!!
We took a taxi early in the morning, and we didn't have any problem because the taxis line up in front of the hotel at 5:00am, so all you have to do is leave the hotel to find your transportation readily available.
In front of the hotel is the Four Seasons, which connects to a nice mall (Pacific Center). There you find an internet cafe at London Drugs for $6 an hour.
We loved the room and the location of this hotel.

"Lived up to expectations based on previous reviews"
Vancouver was the starting point on our Canadian fly drive holiday and we booked the Metropolitan Hotel on the basis of reading tripadvisor reviews.
We weren't disappointed - an excellent location just a few blocks from Canada Place in one direction, the bars & restaurants of Robson St in the other and directly opposite an indoor shopping mall for those occasional(!) rainy days in Vancouver.
Bus stop to Granville Island and other attractions was right outside the hotel.
Check-in was a breeze, having prepaid through our booking with Expedia. The room on the 16th floor was clean, spacious and quiet. The bed was one of the most comfy we've experienced.
Didn't eat at the hotel, no reflection upon the restaurant, we just find that wandering round finding places to eat is part of the holiday experience.
Used the pool area briefly, moderate size swimming pool and nice relaxing jacuzzi. Only criticism would be that the sauna facilities are in the changing rooms so after our swim, myself & the missus had to go our separate ways.
Picked up a hire car towards the end of our 4 day stay, car park directy underneath hotel and valet parking service was faultless.

"Great Hotel"
I stayed at the Metropolitan Hotel for 5 nights at the beginning of October.
It was my first trip to Vancouver and I found this hotel to be perfectly located for exploring the city.
The room was very clean, spacious and very quiet - the bed was extremely comfortable. The bathroom was huge with a separate bath and walk-in shower (and Molton Brown shampoo!).
The hotel had great facilities - I ate dinner at Diva at the Met and found the food to be very good. Breakfast was also good - I would highly recommend the French Toast.
All staff were very helpful and welcoming each time I arrived back at the end of the day.

"Fabulous stay"
A wonderful hotel. We stayed over the weekend and found everything from the service to the accomodations absolutely fabulous. Spacious room and the pool and sauna were a great way to wind up a busy day. Room service provided me with the best cheesecake I have ever tasted! If you stay, the Stilton cheesecake is a must! Also a great location, central to shopping and dining, making everything easily accessable by foot.

Love It, Love It, Love It
I can't say enough about the wonderful staff and overall excellence of this hotel. After flying all night and half the day, incredible lines at customs and a very...uhm...exciting taxi ride, we were greated with such kindness and courtesy we felt immediately invigorated. There is excellent shopping right nearby...underground. We barely had time to hang up the phone before room service was knocking on the door. The bell & door guys were fast and knowledgable.
The in house restaurant "Diva" was superb! We had the tasting menu and it was, with out a doubt, the best meal I have had in my life. |

An experience to remember!!
During a lengthy business and academic career I have stayed in at least one hundred different hotels in the U.S. and Canada. The Metropolitan ranks as the best as far as I’m concerned. The service people in all locations within the hotel and restaurant were truly professional and exhibited genuine interest in the guests. I’m looking forward to my next visit. |

Vancouver’s Most Intimate Hotel
The Metropolitan is truly European in atmosphere, being small enough to offer the highest quality in all its services. The staff was incredibly helpful, warm and polite, from storing my frozen salmon gifts in the hotel refrigerator to recommending restaurants and writing out directions. The location is perfect and the in-house award-winning four-star restaurant is superb. Because of the smaller size, attention to the guest is given utmost importance. Even though I was travelling with three young adults, we were made to feel at home. I will only stay here in the future. |

Exceptional service. Will recommend !
What a lovely experience. Everything about the hotel was wonderful. We were upgraded from a King Suite to a Luxury Suite. What a treat! The room was very comfortable. The staff were absolutely outstanding. It’s clear that everyone on staff is committed to providing excellent customer service. Room was very clean, bed was quite comfortable. As we were only in Vancouver for one night, we did not dine at Diva (although it is among the top rated restaurant in the city). Appreciated the spa robes when going to the hot tub and pool and sauna. Hot tub was a great temp and enjoyed the TV in the sauna and the chilled towels. Much attention to detail at this hotel. Will hightly recommend this hotel and will stay whenever in Vancouver. |

One of Vancouver’s best hotels
The Metropolitan hotel had tastefully decorated, clean, comfortable rooms. The service was excellent. The hotel is located in a safe area and is central to all of the tourist destinations. I have nothing negative to say. I really enjoyed my stay at The Met. And their restaurant Diva at the Met, is also excellent. |
