"A Great Stay"
We visited Paris for the first time. We had a wonderful experience at the Millennium Hotel. The service was excellent. When we arrived, we got to our hotel 5 hours before checkin time. I had just come down with the flu, so I was pretty ill. The front desk agent, Julia was extremely helpful. She saw our need to get a room early. She was so kind to my husband and I. We had to wait, but it wasn't too long before she found us in the hotel and gave us our room keys. Julia went beyond the call of service. The information desk was very helpful to give us directions around the RER(train system). They also gave us great tips on where to go and what to see. They gave us prices and offered tours to us if we wanted. They were not pushy, but gave us options.
The hotel rooms were a good size and very clean. The only complaint is there were only 2 pillows on the bed. My husband and I sleep with 2 pillows each. If that was my only complaint, I could live 4 days with only 1 pillow. The room had a mini bar, a safe, a pants press, etc... The room had everything we needed.
Each morning there was a free buffet breakfast. The breakfast was very good. There were hot and cold foods. All the food was good, and very well managed. The staff was very helpful and kind. If you needed something at breakfast, they would do their best to accomodate you.
We ate the Irish pub in the hotel, the food was good there too.
One has to realize, that you are in Euorpe. Things in Euorpe are different, and some times different is good. My husband and I embraced the culture.
We stayed at the Millennium for the price of the hotel. Of course, we had to take the train in Paris everyday. What we did find out, that the hotel is seated in the small town of Roisyville. It is a small town right out side of the airport. There is a beautiful park, with an office of tourism for information. The town has a few local restaurants and grocery store. Sometimes in the early evening we would walk through town, and enjoy the evening of a small Eourpean town. We were able to see children playing, people meeting and greeting each other, all those things one doesn't get to see when you are in the middle of the main city.
The hotel offered free shuttle service to and from the airport, and the train station. (the train station is at the airport) The shuttle ran all day and all evening. We did not have to wait for a shuttle. They had plenty of them running all day. The train did stop at 11pm, so we had to make sure we were on the 1030pm train, which was not a problem.
Once again the staff and the hotel itself was awesome. I can not say enough. We could of stayed in the city, and had to pay more, got less service, got less of a room, and had to pay for breakfast. In my opinion, we got a great deal with great service.
Our special thanks to Julia from the hotel.
