"Nice Hotel, Good Location"
Stayed here for 3 nights. The hotel is fairly centrally located with the Opera, Place de la Concorde and the Louvre are all within easy walking distance. The room was pretty compact but more than adequate for our needs. The whole place had an authentic oldy worldy feel about which added to the charm. We didn’t sample any of the food in the hotel as there were many places to choose from nearby which seemed much better value. Staff were friendly and helpful. I would stay here again.

"What a 4* Should Be"
Stayed here with my boss this week on business and we would definitely stay here again. Everything about the hotel was perfect.
Where to start. The location is excellent with a Metro station, Richelieu Drouot right outside. The big shops, Printemps and Galeries Lafayette are a short walk up Blvd Haussmann and Auber RER station is right by here, with the Opera Garnier opposite. This end of Blvd Haussmann is fairly residential and high class so expect to pay appropriate prices in the nearby restaurants and bars. Cardinale on the corner was very good and busy with locals so it had to be good. We ate at a nearby brasserie and had a superb steak frites with pepper sauce for €13 each. Beers locally were around the €4 mark and all restaurants now have 15% service included (prix net, service compris).
The hotel staff were extremely efficient and friendly and spoke good English. There is a small bar which didn't have draft beer and the bottles were €7 a time! Breakfast was included in our rate and was the usual hot and cold buffet but they also made omelettes and poached eggs on request. Again, good quality but unless it's included in the price of the room, I wouldn't bother.
Finally, the room. I had 210 which was not large, but had windows opening on to a quiet side street opposite the offices of le Figaro newspaper. The bed was extremely comfortable, although the pillows were a bit soft. In the bathroom, there is a separate room off the main bathroom for the toilet and the whole thing is done out in old fashioned French style right down to the shower which didn't quite work. Beware of the temperature control on the shower, it is the same scalding heat at 50 degrees as 20 degrees and takes a bit of juggling.
Absolutely perfect Parisian hotel, hard to beat.

"Good hotel (if the company are paying)"
Very nice hotel in good location with pukka air-conditioning in the rooms which would be great in the summer. The restaurant provides a very "leisurely" service so dont plan any quick eats here. Lots of time to enjoy your wine perhaps. The word vegetarian has yet to appear at this hotel as two days running a colleagues cheese and salad "veggie" sandwhich appeared with ham one day and fish the next! Superb.
A short walk to many places of interest, can recommend this place on business but if paying myself the published room rate of €400 seems a bit high but you may get a deal.

"Great Hotel in a Great Location"
I stayed at this hotel for 6 nights, together with my wife, and we enjoyed the hotel very much. When we arrived, I asked for a quiet room and was given Room 505. The room was much bigger than any other room I have had in other hotels in Paris, because the standard in Paris is miniscule. The room was elegant, with very elaborate curtains. The bathroom was large, by Paris standards. In the bathroom were 2 terry cloth bathrobes for those who want to use them. The hotel lobby is big, and with plenty of natural light, coming from an elegant skylight.
This hotel has the perfect location in Paris because it is on Boulevard Haussmann, and close to the Printemps and Galeries Lafayette department stores. There are several metro stops closeby also, and many restaurants nearby. I did a lot of research on the internet, looking at travelers’ ratings before choosing this hotel. It met all my expectations.
What makes a hotel great is the staff working in the hotel. The people at the desk were very friendly and professional, always with a smile. They all spoke very good English, so communication was easy with them. Whenever we asked for information about the city, they would always give us what we wanted. They were also helpful in booking two tours outside the city for us. We went to Giverny one day, and to Fontainebleu on another day. The tours we took were from the Paris Vision Plus company, where we were picked up at the hotel in a minibus by a young lady guide, who was also the driver. There are seats for 8 tourists in this minibus, and I would recommend these tours to everyone, because it is like going in your own car. Your contact with your guide is intimate and you can get the most information from her. For Fontainebleu we were only 4 passengers.
The breakfast was included in our hotel rate and it is served in the hotel’s brasserie. The food was plentiful and we were very satisfied. The people working in the restaurant were also friendly and helpful. You can get an omelet if you ask for it.
One day we had lunch at the hotel’s restaurant. The prices were moderate, but the food was great, served in such a big quantity that my wife and I could have eaten from only one plate, if we had known that the quantity would be so large. I had two glasses of the white wine on the menu. I cannot remember the name of the wine, but it came from the southwest of France, and was some of the best wine I have tasted in France. I would recommend highly this restaurant. The next time I stay at the hotel, I will eat here everyday because the food is wonderful.
I will definitely stay at this hotel the next time I go to Paris. I will recommend this hotel to whoever wants a great 4 star hotel in the best location in Paris.

"More than happy to stay here"
We stayed here for 4 days in the third week of August and really enjoyed it. The hotel is ideally situated for walking around town. It's about 20 minutes down to the Louvre, the same to Montmatre, about 35 minutes to Notre Dame and under an hour to the Effiel Tower. It's a great location in the evening time for going out, either around the Opera area, or to the bars and restaurants by the Hard Rock Cafe. It's only 5 minutes walk down to the bus stop for the CDG bus at Opera, which makes life easy getting to the airport.
The rooms are in an older French style, but not disappointing in any way (which i'd read previously in reviews). We had inside rooms (ovelooking a central area) and they were extremely quiet at night. It's not a refurbished or new hotel, but it's worthy of the 4 star rating.
We will certainly stay here again, as the location is pretty good for getting around.
