"Handy for the airport"
Hotel Minerva is an unfussy kind of place ideally suited if you need somewhere to stay near to Brindisi airport. We stayed in a room in the main hotel but there are individual chalets a bit like an American motel at the back around a swimming pool which was too cold to use when we were there because it was April. We only stayed for the night before travelling on into Puglia. It was clean, the staff were helpful and it is literally a 10-15 minute drive from the hotel on the main road to San Vito dei Normanni and even I found it in the dark. When we arrived late on the Saturday we couldn't get any food except for a bag of crisps because there wasn't any room service - so be warned. The hotel has it's own five-a-side football pitch outside as well as the pool but inside entertainment was limited to a TV and a pool table. The Minerva is also next to some sort of military base so it's not really the kind of place you'd want to spend a holiday in. Great for an overnight stay on the way to somewhere else - which I guess is why it's there.
