Miro Hotel, the first boutique hotel in the city of Bilbao, opened its doors in 2002 and was created by the Catalan fashion designer Antonio Miró.
The hotel offers the outmost comfort in a welcoming atmosphere, decorated with warm lighting and fine materials, such as black marble and beige leather.
Moreover, the hotel has a collection of artistic photography with works of important artists, such as Paul Thorel, Tessio Barba, Alberto Peral and Ana Laura Aláez, among others.
Additonal amenities include a library with DVDs and antique armchairs, a bar called Miró featuring jazz concerts twice a week, a fully equipped gym and a relaxing spa center. |

Miro Hotel is ideally located in front of the Guggenheim Museum, 100 metres from the Fine Arts Museum and literally next to the Zubiarte Shopping Centre.

Miro Hotel was one of the nicest hotels I've ever stayed in - stylish and extremely friendly and welcoming. Breakfast was particularly excellent. And it's only a few minutes walk from the Guggenheim too. |

"Discreet hotel, great location"
I found this hotel through Hotels and Discounts, didn't think there would be much choice in Bilbao but this was a treasured find.
Booked a mid week break in July as a surprise birthday trip to the Guggenheim for my boyfriend. The hotel is on the main road just down from the Gugg, you would be lucky to get a room with a view of it as most seem to look into the centre of the hotel - not to worry just keep the blinds down and walk a minute and be stood outside.
The hotel is very swanky don't let the comments about the curtain seperating the room and the bathroom - its cool to be able to chat while you are putting your make up on and the toilet is seperate.
Bilbao is a fantastic place and I would recommend trying La Barraca (Bertendona I think) the best paella made from scratch and fantastic waiters who recommend local wine and don't even try getting you to buy an expensive bottle!
Much like the hotel wouldn't notice it unless you were looking but both worth a visit

"excellent location, small smart room and good breakfast"
I was greeted by the very friendly front desk staff and assisted with my luggage. The room was small and modern and included nice toiletries. I had been traveling for a while and enjoyed the BBC and access to English dvds. It was a treat to go the grocery get some salami and cheese and eat in my room while watching a movie. I also took advantage of their small workout facility which was a benefit given the hotels size. The breakfast was great. I ordered eggs as well.
Would stay again in a minute.

"great location"
I just came back from Bilbao where I stayed at Miró Hotel for a weekend. Fabulous location close to the Guggenheim and an amazing service. I highly recommend it.
