"Loved the Moderne St-Germain Hotel" I stayed at the hotel with my boyfriend at the beginning of May for 3 nights. Were both early twenties and the hotel was ideal for us. Pleny of quaint little bars and restaurants surrounding the hotel, but not too close to be an annoyance. We walked basically everywhere from the hotel. Fab shops surrounding the hotel also which was abit of a temptation for me!! The Notre-Dam is about 10 mins walking, and the Louve was about 15 mins walking. The rooms were clean and modern- just like the pictures and just like expected from a 3star hotel. Every guest has free access to the sauna and the gym in the hotel next door. The gym was better than expected. It hosts a running machine, cycling machine, plenty of weights and a rowing machine. The hotel also offers free internet access. The breakfast was quite basic- again, only that can be expected from a 3star hotel. It offered a variety of foods such as toast, baguettes, cerial, ham, cheese, croissants, pain au chocolat etc. Which was deffinatley plenty for us. The only downsides to the hotel was that the walls were slightly thin and we did hear alot of noise from the room next door. Not enough to spoil the holiday. Just enough to wake you up in the night. Also i did notice a sign inside the room that says if you arent out of your room by mid-day you will be charged for an extra night's stay- the receptionist did not tell us this on arrival, and he did not ask us to get out by a certain time. This was just left upto us and i can see how some people may not noice this. I would deffinatley recommend the Hotel Modern St Germain to people who think they may share the same interests as my boyfriend and I.

"LoVeD this hotel!" A colleague told me about this hotel. I had a wonderful stay. The room was clean and the staff was so helpful. Everyday they would help me find my way to all the sights and always made me feel welcome! The hotel is in a lovely location. Notre Dame is within a 5 minute walk. The Pantheon is up the street. The Metro is less than 2 blocks away and the bus stop is steps away from the hotel. The cheese store, the butcher and several boulangeries are all in the neighborhood! I would highly recommend the boulangerie store next to the cheese store. They have the best pain au chocolate. I will definitely stay at this hotel or any of their sisters hotels again!

"adored this hotel" have just returned from a three night trip to paris and found the hotel moderne saint germain to have been an excellant base for our trip. The hotel is ideally located, within easy walking distance of notre dame, the louvre and the bars and restuarants of the latin quarter with the nearby st michel metro/rer station allowing for easy travel to the airport and disneyland.The rooms although small were spotlessly clean and were decorated in a simple modern style, the air conditioning and balcony being an added bonus as we were fortunate to have excellant weather for our stay. The staff were friendly and helpfull . Already looking forward to repeat visit.

"Loved the area!" My husband and I stayed at this hotel 2/14/07-2/19/07. We were in room 20. The hotel was clean and the people were friendly. Every morning there's a continental breakfast which includes the most delicious breads and croissants. This hotel is situated in the heart of the latin quarter. There are hundreds of resturants down the winding alley's and the streets come alive at night. Also, it's about a 10 minute walk to Notre Dame. We really enjoyed our stay at this hotel and if we ever go back, we'd stay here again.

"Great Location, Clean Room" We went to Paris for a long weekend, and booked the hotel through the travel agency. The hotel was ideally located for us, in the Latin Quarter - quiet at night, near the Metro stop. Good restaurants within just a few blocks. We were on the sixth floor (7th floor to Americans), but the elevator only runs to the 5th floor; we had to walk up a spiral staircase to the 6th floor. Room was very clean and comfortable. Bathroom was fine with a tub and shower. Room service cleaned daily. Front office staff was helpful and friendly. Our luggage arrived while we were out (due to missed flight connection), and was kept in a secure room for us. Small elevator, but quite fast for an older building. Breakfast was included in our package, and we enjoyed it greatly. If you like walking, you can walk to Notre Dame and even to the Louvre from the hotel.
