"Excellent Hotel and friendly staff"
We stopped in this hotel on 26/03/07, the hotel is a little out of the way but very easy to get to and the metro is dirt cheap, 1 euro to get from one side of Rome to the other on the metro, The hotel rooms are beautiful, the staff are very helpful and friendly and speak excellent english and the views are beautiful facing St. Peters. the only reason we did not award this full marks is that there are no restaurants near by so if you want a nice evening meal you have to stay in Rome and make sure you catch the last metro back before it closes at 9, but other then that the place itself is excellent and is highly recomended.

"Rome - this is the way to do it."
Booked via late rooms. Have to say this ranks as one of the best hotels I have ever stayed in for comfort and hospitality. The room was comfortable and spacious - request in advance room with balcony overlooking the city - you can see st peters dome in the distance. Even though fully booked for the entirity of our stay had no problem at all with noise and slept very well indeed - which you need for long hot days walking in rome. Hotel shuttle bus very good and reliable - 10-15 mins into city centre. Really nice to get back to peaceful surroundings of hotel siting on the terrace having a drink after a long day sightseeing in the polluted hectic atmosphere of rome city (so glad we didn't book city centre hotel). Breakfast is amazing - a huge buffet with hot and cold choices just about everything you could wish for - beautiful selection of fresh fruit as well. If I had to be picky only thing missing was tea/coffee making facilities in room but a good excuse to use the very pleasant and comfortable bar or terrace areas downstairs. The hotel in general was spotlessly clean and the staff were extremely courteous and helpful - all spoke very good English. On the issue of this 'super' local restaurant - Taverna Sacchetti - we were really looking forward to eating there after reading other reviews. But found it a grubby little place, no atmosphere and certainly no service. We got our starter and then waited 45 mins to find they had forgotten our main course - even though they passed us by every time they went in and out of kitchen and it is a very small place. No apology. The TV was blaring away with the Italian version of 'deal or no deal'. Cheap yes but for us one to avoid.

"Great Hotel"
Just returned from 5 nights at the Centarl Park. A very good hotel - staff were welcoming & friendly & always ready to help. The Moscati restuarant is superb for evening dinner - great food and modern surroundings. Breakfast offered a good choice (to european standards) and was very reasonable. The hotel looks recently decorated, is well maintained and very clean. The location of this hotel is good - 20 minutes on their free shuttle bus into the city (4 times a day in each direction) Or we found the local rail system very easy to use, with the station just round the corner from the hotel. Direct trains to the vatican area, or with one change into the historic centre. Only one word of warning- the last shuttle bus returns at 10.30 from outside the Bernini Bristol hotel in the centre of Rome. If you want to stay out any later than this you will need to get a taxi back (which can be tricky), as you will also have missed the last train. Overall would strongly recommend this hotel.

"Lovely hotel"
Very nice hotel, clean & modern. The staff were attentive & pleasant. We emailed ahead and let them know it wa sour 1st anniversary and got a free upgrade in our room, and a gift waiting for us in the room! Breakfast was a let down though - very dry & not very continental. We ate out for breakfast after the first day even though it was included in our room rate. Would recommend it - but just do room only. There's not much choice for food in the evening, only one pizza restaurant in the area! The shuttle bus is fantastic - taking you at good times to and from 2 locations in Rome, but make sure you know where you are being picked up from, and be there 15 minutes before as the driver doesn't always wait until the scheduled pick up time!

"Fantastic - would stay there again"
We spent three nights here in mid October 2004, although the hotel was out of town a little, we had a car and didn't fancy batteling traffic. When we finally did drive through Rome, we found it as easy thing to do and our fears were unfounded. The staff were great, no problems anywhere. The view from our room over looking St Peters were breathtaking but the best was the restaurant. We ate in the first night as we were tired, but ate in each night as the food was simply scrumptious - there was nothing that was not cooked to perfection and the restaurant staff were attenting and friendly. Breakfast was OK, very typical of the breakfasts I have had all over Europe. The courtesy bust was great and ran like clockwork, they may have read other reviews and addressed the problem, but it never left early - I do agree that you get to the pickup point about 10 minutes early also though. The only negative thing I can say is that the hotel had no gin, the delivery was coming the day we left. I would stay there again and will certanly recomend it to friends - it made for a great Roman Holiday.
