"Penthouse Suite Review"
Stayed in the Penthouse suite for a PR event this March 2007. Exceptional views and very comfortable space to host a 18 person reception/party.
Good: View, bed (very comfy), kitchen space.
Mediocre: Dated carpet and walls/furniture/windows/bathroom - suite was cutting edge in early 80's - hasn't been refreshed much since then.
Bad: Poor service from front desk, concierge. Very good service from head of housekeeping (nicely tipped by us at end of stay).
For what i needed it for - exceptional. Great location, quiet and professional.

"Definitely stay at this hotel."
Very good hotel. Helpful staff. Clean rooms. Smallish rooms by US standards but not a problem if you are out a lot. Very handy for business and tourism. Plenty of diners, delis and restaurants close by. Very trendy bar and restaurant.

"Wonderful Experience"
I stayed at Morgans from April 8th to 16th, and had an absolutely wonderful stay. From the moment I arrived the staff treated me with courtesy and respect, even managing to fulfill my request for a room away from the elevators, and at the back of the hotel. I was most pleased considering that I had booked the room though Priceline, and knew by no means should I expect such a request to be honoured.
The room I had was quite large I thought, and had more than ample room for two people. The bed was comfortable, and the quality of the linens supreme. The TV was an absolutely massive flat screen unit :) There was a large closet with coat hangers to store my suitcase, and coats; as well as another closet near the window with ample room for my other personal belongings.
Yes, the room was a little tired around the edges, but it was well appointed with a very stylish little bathroom, and exceptionally clean. Only problem was the heating, but my concerns with this were rectified swiftly with humble apologies.
Housekeeping were outstanding. I had absolutely no complaints with the quality of their service. Always clean towels, and products replaced even when not completely used, but simply transferred from the bathroom counter into the shower.
Great water pressure in the shower, although took a little while to heat up at certain points during the day. It was always much hotter at night. I must point out though, that I have really hot showers.
Staff also obliged me by delivering candles to my room, which I used for a special occasion. My bill was never charged for the 6 votives I requested, either.
Loved the convenience of the computer in the living room for guest use, and the complimentary tea/coffee. Great idea that saved me more than a few dollars over the 8 days.
The deli next door is also great. The staff are really friendly, and always offered to make me sandwiches to my specifications, even at 3am in the morning.
Check out from the hotel was swift and painless; and I was able to leave my luggage at the hotel for several extra hours at no cost.
Would I stay here again? You bet I would :) Wonderful hotel. Wonderful staff. Excellent quiet location, but convenient to great shopping and several subway lines.

"Very Good"
Having booked this hotel prior to reading all these reviews I was very nervous about what I had let myself (and my wife) in for.
However, the hotel was great. Service was spot on. Room was clean. Bathroom clean. Everything worked. Breakfast was great. Ideal location for exploring NYC.
This hotel is a little different, if you want a chain hotel then stay in one.
I would come back!.

"Pleasant stay at Morgans"
Just back from a week at Morgans Hotel with my family. I'd booked (over a month in advance) two rooms on Priceline at a very good rate of $165 per night. We were welcomed warmly by the staff, and one of the rooms upgraded from standard to superior (so included a bath tub, large window seat, desk, and club chair) as the second room on the same floor for the children was not yet ready. Their room had a large window seat but no club chair and no tub, just a shower.
Although on the small side we found the rooms very comfortable, with very efficient storage (in the wall unit next to the window seat), good lighting (especially the bathroom). The rooms were very clean, fresh flowers in the bathroom, very well air-conditioned, excellent water pressure. Linens and towels high quality.
Breakfast is included, so great from both financial and scheduling points of view, as we could each stumble downstairs and partake whenever it was convenient. The living room area includes a computer and television, and it came in handy when arranging to meet local friends on our way out to dinner in the evening.
