The Nastro Azzurro and Occhio Marino Hotel is comprised of two modern buildings set in 30 square kilometers of typical Mediterranean vegetation. Its position on the Sorrentine peninsular provides it with views of the Gulf of Naploi and the Gulf of Salerno, with access to the Almafi coastline, just one kilometer away.

The wine list holds more than 350 labels and is also available to those in the resort's bar, Rubino, which has live music every night.

LOCATION

The Nastro Azzurro & Occhio Marino Hotel rises in one of the most fascinating areas of the Sorrentine Coast, with a splendid view of the gulfs of Naples and Salerno.

Away from the hotel there is much to explore, such as the island of Capri or the ancient cities of Pompeii and Hericulaneum. Naples airport is 45 kilometers, about one hour's drive, from the resort.

"Nice Hotel In The Hills"
We chose this hotel as it was away from the hustle and bustle of Sorrento but still had the option of the shuttle bus to take you in to town. My wife was six months pregnant when we visted the hotel and she had no problems with the facilities and access of this hotel. Like many of the other reviews for this hotel, we were disappointed with the evening meals so on most nights we took the shuttle to Sorrento and ate out even though we had paid for half board. The hotel also put on live music nightly. There were one or two good bands but generally it was pretty cheesey especially when one performer started sing the title music to Spiderman!?!?! The pool area was nice with plenty of sunbed and parasols and the staff in general were helpful and pleasant enough. Our room had a balcony with a seaview and a view of Vesuvius which was nice. There were some problems with the room in that the plaster from the balcony wall had pretty much fallen off but the hotel was unable to give us another room as it was full. There were no shower curtains in the bathroom which meant that everytime you showered, you were left with the bathroom floor flooded, a bit dangerous considering my wife was pregnant. They had started to address this problem towards the end of the holiday as we came backone day to shower curtain rails but still no curtains. All in all this is a nice hotel if you don't want to be in the centre of Sorrento as the hotel is in a very relaxing location and the shuttle is certainly a plus point. I personally would skip the evening meals at the hotel and venture down in the town. Don't forget to visit Davide's ice cream parlour where there is over 80 flavours of ice creams and sorbets!
