NB Riga Hotel is a high quality accomodation in quiet and green district. The building hosting this hotel was built in 1880 and renovated in 2001. The newest part was opened in 2005, and in this building we can see wooden classical architecture. The hotel is located in a very peaceful area. Enjoy waking up to the singing of birds.

Nb Riga Hotel is located on the opposite side of the River Daugava to Riga's old town. Those keen to explore the area will find that Riga has some of the finest collection of art nouveau buildings in Europe, set amongst fine examples of 19th century wooden buildings.

"A good pace to stop"
With the NB hotel you get a good clean basic hotel. No frills but more than suitable for a few days stay. The rooms are clean, we were in the front annexe which when you entered looked a bit tatty but once in the room there were no problems. The breakfasts are excellent and the beer cheap. The staff are friendly. If you like snooker its got some full size tables! Its a bit out of town but the number 5 tram stops right ouside. The first time you go show the conductor on the tram the address of the hotel and they will tell you where to get off. The tram goes from the opposite side of the road to where the airport bus stops, near the railway station. Be warned they do charge on the trams for bags (about 20p!). One bit of advice at the airport is when you change your money go upstairs and buy something cheap (eg a snickers bar), this way you will have the change for the bus as the conductor gets upset if you give her a 5Lv note.
