"Comfortable and friendly hotel"
I've stayed here a few times while travelling on business and would highly recommend it. In a central location it is close to shops, tourist attractions and restaurants. With it's comfortable public bar/lounge areas, the food is great and the staff are very accommodating helping me find alternative parking nearby when the small hotel car park was full.

"Better than i expected"
I read all the reviews here before i stayed and although some bad the last few are quite complimentary.
When i checked in i was greeted by a very smartly dressed gentleman who helped me with my bags up the less than easy staircase. The room was a decent size and very clean with towels neatly folded on bed.
i had dinner which was in a very contemporary setting with some nice music and the food was excellent.
Breakfast was also very efficient and a good start to the day.
I have no complaints at all and will be making a regular stop here when i am in the area.

"Great Location. hotel fine."
Arrived at the hotel to a very stylish reception area. Receptionist (possible manager!) was a few minutes to arrive but very pleasant and helpful.
Requested an ironing board and this was obtained instantly.
The room was, I am guessing no one of the best, with a view (if you can call that) of the other side of the hotel and air duct. However the room was cleaned to a very high standard and was of a good size! The room was in slight need of work as the carpet was becoming thread bare.
The bathroom too was very large however needed to be modernized. It was clean, but looked a little grubby, because of the years of use and several times of re-sealing the bath etc.
The room also had two faults. Which, I did not report as I was only in the room to sleep. The TV button needed to be held in, which I did by jamming a milk carton between the stand and the power button. Also the bath and shower both ran at the same time! I was meant to report these on my departure but forgot. (Sorry, if you in room 208 next!)
On my way out that night, called into the bar for a drink. Service again a little slow with the receptionist / manager serving with another member of the bar serving drinks and bar food. The leather couches also needed to be replaced. Each one had a ghastly split in the seat.
Did not stop in the hotel for evening meal, but the menu sounded great.
Next morning breakfast area was inviting and very quite. It has a good selection of cereal / bread / hams. Hot food was taken by order, and arrived within a few minutes, freshly cooked and tested wonderful! Again, staff very pleasant and welcoming.
Overall, Yes I would stay here again, probably request a better room if staying for several nights. The hotel has clearly started to spend money on the reception area / lounge. Also has recently replaced all public carpets. They just need to start upgrading the rooms. (Well the one I was in anyway.)
