The rooms are clean and fairly modern, with TV's, Fridge's and A/C (a rarity in Thailand) Whilst the hotel is very close to Ko San road and all of the laid back hippy style atmosphere this area has to offer.

"Good Value Hotel in Bangkok" We stayed at the New World Lodge Hotel for two nights in a deluxe double room on a B&B basis. We would recommend this hotel for those looking for a good value base for exploring Bangkok. The Grand Palace is within walking distance and you can access sights further afield by local bus or by using the river buses - which are great fun. Value: Possibly the best feature of this hotel is the price - it represents very good value for money, particularly as breakfast is included in the price. Rooms: Really rather large rooms, with a small balcony, ours overlooked a canal, with a reaonably sized en-suite shower room. Rooms equipped with air-con and the windows are screened. The decor is a little tired but the beds are comfortable. Location: The hotel is well placed for exploring the sights of Bangkok, and easily accessed by the express airport bus. It is within walking distance of the backpacker mayhem of Khao San Road - but far enough away to avoid the noise. Breakfast: Good buffet breakfast, choice of western or thai/chinese foods. It is possibly worth pointing out that there is no bar in this hotel, so anyone fancying a drink would be advised to bring it with them.

"Very good location" ...it's ok, good price and greit location. The rooms looks not so clean but I think is only because the hotel is old. In my period of stay, because of some works on the next street it was impossible to sleep from 08.30 in the morning untill the evening, so if you use to sleep even for a couple of hour after a long trip by plane ...FORGET IT ! Don't go there, will be better if you'll ensure that work are finished... Anyway, apart this, the hotel is fine, good price and greit breakfast, I think I'll go there again next time (of course after I'll ask about works on the street)

"value for money" a great place to stay if you need a comfortable roof over your head. very near to Banglumphu and Khao san shopping area. Food are abundance around the hotel. And it is near to the Grand Palace too, just make sure you wear decent clothes if you plan a trip there i.e long pants and proper t-shirt.
