"Excellent for its price"
Excellent service, great rooms and very reasonable prices. I stayed four nights,
everyday everything worked fine. Good location. I did not have breakfast there, so
I don't about that.

"Great value for money"
Stayed here in February 2004 and was very happy with it. The location was great, in a quiet side street, a short walk from the local metro station and with a cafe serving gorgeous pastries nearby.
The room was clean, with a therapeutic shower and a huge comfortable bed. The staff were courteous and spoke reasonable English.
I'd definitely consider staying here again.

"Great little hotel from which to explore paris"
If this is your first trip to Paris, the Newton Opera is a great place to stay because of the excellent location. One stop on the train from the Gare de Nord, to St Lazare, on line E makes this hotel a good choice if you are arriving by Eurostar. Dont rely on being able to get a taxi from the station in the summer months.
Hotel is very clean, and typically french. The staff are friendly and accommodating. For an extra 30 euros you can upgrade to a room with a small terrace. The rooms are very small but that is typical of Parisian hotel rooms. Room and bathroom were well equipped. Room was kept very clean and the aircon worked well. Breakfast was a simple buffet in the celler rooms, which was unusual but nice. The waitress will make you scrambled eggs and toast if your prefer something hot. A continental breakfast can be served in your room.
Complimentary tea and coffee is served in the lounge from 2pm - 8pm
The hotel is located in a quiet side street, in a very nice, select neighbourhood. Lots of good restaurants within walking distance 2-5 mins away. We would say if you are a good walker, you could walk to most attractions from here.
We went to see the Moulin Rouge and walked back because we could not find a taxi. Which is a problem in Paris in the summer.
There are 3 Metro staions nearby which is a great way of getting around. You can buy a green open top bus ticket for 25euros for one day. This sounds expensive but is worth it, as you can see the whole of paris in one day, you can also get off at any stop and get back on again. Bus leaves from the nearby Rue Auber.
Going back to the Moulin Rouge. Maybe try one of the other shows!
All the parisians we met were friendly and helpful.
We had a great time here.
