"Nice hotel, great location"
We stayed here for 5 nights late Nov/early Dec 2005. The rooms are quite nice and very big bathrooms. The staff all spoke English and were pleasant. We had reserved a suite (all suites here) and I had requested 2 beds but were put in a room with only one bed and the sofa was not a sofabed. I went to the desk & the night manager went with me to another room where it still had only one bed but a nice size sofa which is fine with me! What's nice is the tv is in a swivel in the wall and you can turn it to face into the bedroom or to the living room.
The room had a nice little kitchenette-nothing huge- just what was needed for the morning. Our room faced a park in the back which was nice as it was very quiet. There is a workout room w/sauna which is nice here also. We never went to the restaurant since the breakfast was about $14 per person, we would never pay that price.
When you walk out the front door- the metro is right there! If you are using the Westbahhof train station- it's walkable with your luggage. This location is right in the middle of all the stores so if you are going for shopping- this is the place.

"Nice Place to Stay"
My wife and I stayed here one night, and since then, we have noticed many "NH" hotels...and had never heard of them prior to this trip.
Location: It is in a good location, at the intersection of two major shopping streets and above the metro station. It is also a minute from the bus stop which takes you to / from the main train station (Vienna South). It is just about less then 1/2 mile down the street to the museums and palaces, but a lovely walk, as it is a lively street during the day (with cheap and delicious pizza slices along the way).
Room: Reception was pleasant and helpful. The room was a non smoking room in the back of the hotel which requiered that we use two elevators, switching on the 3rd floor. (no views, but quiet). The room was huge. It had a couch, chair, two t.v.'s, a bar, microwave, a work station (desk), and then the bed, shower and seperate sink. It was clean and head plenty of storage room for clothes, and a safe. We only stayed one night, so we did not use any services or eat at the resturant.
Bad: we had a late departure, and needed to leave our bags, however the front lobby was already loaded with other people's bags over flowing from behind the counter into the lobby where anybody could have opened the door and grabbed one. Also, there is no wi-fi and internet is foolishly expensive. The "gym" was three cardio machines (no treadmill).
Summary: we would stay here again for the huge, clean room and the location. Again, after only one night, we can't comment on room service or other things.

"Excellent hotel"
Despite adverse reviews of this hotel on Tripadvisor, we were delighted to find standards were excellent and we had no complaints. The rooms were very clean and spacious (being divided into two areas with two TVs!) and bathroom was well stocked with toiletries. The kitchenette was very handy (UK visitors, remember to bring along your travel kettle!). On the minus side, the hotel's position on the busiest high street in Vienna made it a bit noisy at night but it was well positioned for U-bahn access (opposite the hotel) and very central. Good value too - this is one hotel we would definitely return to.

"Another NH success"
Stayed here in January with my girlfriend, ok so Vienna was kinda chilly but still a beautiful, romatic city that is great for strolling round enjoying time together...The hotel is all-suite, which was great, plenty space with a seperate bedroom, lounge, bathroom and vanity area and good mini-bar and sink area (yeeha with bar stools and counter, nice touch). The hotel doesn't have a restaurant and room service doesn't exist but with the mini-bar there and stocked with snacks it's not really necessary (there's loads of places to eat in vienna from fine dining to informal cafe)...I don't do breakfast so didn't find the breakfast room on the top floor, far better to grab coffee in one of the many coffee shops Vienna is famed for.
My only gripe was that after late nights out in Vienna we were disturbed on 2 occassions by eager housekeepers but I reckon this has more to do to with that fact that they were fairly quiet and keen to crack on with work. To be fair they did do a very good job servicing the room. Location-wise theres an underground station right outside the hotel entrance and the main train station is five minutes walk up the road. To get into the centre you can walk through museum area (20-30 minutes at a leisurly pace) or get the tube straight into the city, if the weathers fine you should walk - oucl stop at the art galleries or natural history museum (if you like to see hundreds/maybe thousands of stuffed animals).
If you're there on a Sunday try and get to the church service on the main square, a huge congregation and all sorts of Austrains dressed up in ceremonial gear although remember that almost all shops are closed on Sundays so don't expect much shopping on the day of the sabbath, but there are plenty opportunities to part with your cash on all other days of the week.
So all in all a good hotel, another NH success, I like this chain seem to do things well. If you enjoy eating out away from your hotel and want a nice big room, with a bit of style and a buzz going on on the street outside stay here.
Enjoy...and let me know how you got on if you stayed here
