"Outstanding and Inexpensive 4 Star Hotel"
I have stayed here twice. I have no idea what the review from the person from Boston was about since I must agree with the others. I have visited the restaurant where the steak is served on a "hot" rock. It was inexpensive and good quality. The hotel dining room is expensive BUT there are a dozen good restaurants within walking distance and two gas stations where there are plenty of snacks available.
Yes, there is even a Walmart within WALKING distance. Parking is free at the hotel. There is FREE internet in a room behind the front counter..Just ask. The staff speaks English among other languages. I got my room on expedia for $55 US dollars so I think that isfar from expensive. ALL hotels in Frankfurt are expensive IF THERE IS A CONVENTION in town. The hotel is a fairly new hotel. The photo of the rooms on its website is exact right down to the bed cover colors.
You can take a train (S-Bahn)into Frankfurt from the train station located afew blocks from the hotel. I will agree that if you exit the hotel and turn right, you will not find any thing BUT if you turn to the left there are restaurants, gasthaus bars, some video game parlors, an internet cafe (but hotel internet in their room is free), walmart, a supermarket across from Walmart. If you want "entertainment" bars that is in Frankfurt.

"Wonderful Hotel!!"
This was a wonderful hotel! We decided to exhibit at the Frankfurt Book Fair at the last minute. So we literally booked this hotel a week before the fair. We were able to get a decent rate for such short notice during a big event.
The hotel is very nice also and the rooms look exactly like the photos! The hotel cleaning staff even cleaned the bathroom floors on their hands and knees. The room was very clean and had a wonderful view of the quaint surrounding neighborhood.
The train station is a short distance away but we took a cab to the train station every morning and every night and it usually only cost us 3 Euros each way. Then we caught two trains to get to the Fair and 2 to get back. We would catch the S8 to the main Frankfurt station then catch the S4 to the fair.
There is a Wal-Mart near the hotel and you have to go to the Corner steak house! They bring you the steak on this big hot rock and you cook it to your liking, The beef and sauces are delicious. The hotel restaurant sells Excellent food! I like their club sandwiches and XXL burgers.
Our room was clean, it had AC but they have these nice big windows you can open and get some fresh air. The hotel van picks you up from the airport and drops you off when needed. The staff is really nice, although not the most helpful people but if you insist they will. hahaha The hotel also has one computer for guests to use with a printer and internet access. It wasn't a busy hotel so there was no problem using it.
They have a room for you to iron your clothes on the 6th floor, a mini bar / fridge in your room and comfortable beds. They have power converter/adapters but funny enough, they don't properly fit the recessed outlets they have in the rooms.
I'd recommend this hotel to others. Frankfurt is a nice city also. We went to a jazz club, French restaurant and other places and had a good, safe, time.

"Very friendly staff!"
I stayed at the NH hotel Raunheim for three days for a business meeting. The hotel reception staff are very friendly and keen to help. Free internet in the hotel lobby. The swimming pool is smallish but is semi-heated and has water jets to swim against. Steam room, solarium, small gym with tv, sauna and garden atrium all in the indoor pool precinct. Towels provided.
Rooms are well equipped but lack a personal safe deposit box. Safe deposit boxes are available at reception. (you get to hold the key to the box) Lovely soft beds. One of the best I have had. You can even choose the type of pillow that you like. The shower is over the bath. Shampoo, soap and lotion provided. No hair conditioner?? Mini bar in room and cable TV. Two english channels. CNN and premiere movies. (up todate. The same as being shown on most flights. )
Breakfast served at the buffet had all the usual hotel items. A range of cereals, bread rolls, toast, cut fruit, fruit salad, meats, cheeses and a range of hot food such as scrambled eggs, sausages and potato cakes.
The town of Raunheim is rather small and caters mostly for the nearby airport hotels. There are many restaurants. The supermarket is a good 20 minute walk. (left out of the hotels main entrance) But there is a free shuttle to and from frankfurt airport where there is a supermarket. The train station is 5 minute walk away and it is the line that runs directly into frankfurt airport, frankfurt main rail station and the city centre. EUR3.55 oneway to the city or EUR8.40 for a day ticket.

"Great Hotel, Great Sauna, Great quiet location, near train"
I have stayed at this hotel annually for three to six days every March. I keep going back for the following reasons: Good clean rooms, good beds, and comfortable furnishings; a beautiful spa with one of the nicest indoor pools with great massage jets around the side. The sauna was great. Be aware that Europeans and Asians (who use the hotel for tours), are less modest than Americans. Don't be shocked by nudity in the spa area...its there. As for local, it is serviced by excellent shuttles to and from the airport. The train station is less than 700yards from the hotel, there is a huge Wallmart down the street (about 1.5 miles). The hotel restaurant is OK, but I walk to the left of the hotel the the local "Steakhouse" where they bring the steak on a heated piece of lava stone, and you cook it yourself at your table...its great, and reasonable. I will continue to go back to this hotel. I often have found rooms for around 68 euro. One clue, check the internet rate just prior to going there, it often sells off unused rooms at a very reduced rate. I have rebooked all rooms this year and saved greatly...even within 24 hours of checking in.
