"Nice hotel---Clean, great food, friendly, great location!" We stayed in the Nile Hilton in Nov 2004 and were pleased with our selection. Hotel was clean, staff were friendly, location terrific, and the restaurants were very very good. Every morning we had a wonderful buffet breakfast with an omlete bar and lots of choices. The upstairs dining room was stunning with a panoramic view of the city and Nile River which was just beautiful! Staff were very good--especially in the restaurant with their willingness to cater to my deadly food allergies. Front desk staff were very nice although a little too friendly and flirty to me--even in front of my husband! (no harm though). Within the hotel there's an American Express office for tours, shops, and even an authentic Egyptian coffee bar with local music---quite interesting! There's good security at the front of the hotel and upon entering there's great security before getting into the lobby. The concierge was very helpful in assisting us in finding day-tours with both American Express Tours as well as Thomas Cook. We took a day tour of the pyramids and went to the Sound and Light show which was fine. Overall we were very pleased with the hotel and it happens to be right next to the infamous museum of Cairo which was very convenient. Without hesitation, I would recommend this hotel. Double check to ensure that you purchase breakfast with your room ahead of time--otherwise it could prove to be unnecessarily costly. Have a terrific time!!!

"Fantastic hotel" My husband and I have just returned from a weeks stay at the Nile Hilton Hotel. It was an excellent choice of hotel - right in the centre of Cairo, next door to the Antiquities museum. Other visitor sites were within easy reach by taxi although we did the pyramid tour with an escorted group. I cannot praise the hotel enough - the staff and their service were exceptional, they couldn't do enough to help or advise. We have travelled to many places all over the world and have never had such good service as we received here. We had a lovely room overlooking the Nile, the food was superb, the service exceptional. We had thoroughly researched this holiday - my husband was last in Egypt almost 40 years ago - and this hotel doesn't get the praise it deserves. It might be one of the oldest but it is certainly the best! I would recommend anyone who wants to visit Cairo to stay here.
