"Good Location and great hotel if you're upgraded!"
We just returned from two weeks in Greece and we spent our first three nights at the NJV Athens Plaza hotel in Athens. I really can't complain at all about the hotel as, due to the hotel being booked when we arrrived late at night, we were upgraded to suite. I suspect the regular room we would have had would have been similar to the ones described in other reviews. We did get a peek at some other rooms when they were being cleaned and they did seem very tiny. I can say that the suite we had on the 9th floor had a view of the acropolis, a sitting room and a large separate bedroom. It was very nice and the price listed for the room on the door was something like 1100 Euro! We had paid for a regular room so we paid nowhere near that price. No one should pay that kind of money for a hotel room.
The staff at the hotel was not particularly warm or helpful but they were fine. It felt more like a business destination hotel.
The hotel is in an excellent location for walking to see the sights or for taking the metro. There is an excellent bakery/greek pie place nearby called Aniston and they have THE BEST spinach and chees pies (and others) that we had in Greece.

"We loved the Plaza"
We absolutely loved the Athens Plaza. We went with 2 children and the hotel offered a suite with 2 bedrooms that was perfect. The front desk staff very helpful and knowledgeable. The location was perfect, a short walk to the Plaka. We were able to watch the changing of the guards from our room! Would definitely stay at the same hotel again. East Lyme, CT

"Incredibly Perfect Location - Luxurious & Fun"
As first-time travelers to Greece on an extended vacation, we were delighted to find that we were staying in Constitution Square, which we learned on arrival was one of the most beautiful locations in Athens with access to so much that we wanted to see. While we stayed at a number of hotels while in Greece, the Plaza was one of our favorites - very helpful and personable staff on all levels, extremely well-maintained, the rooms and baths spotless and beautiful, and room service was exceptional - try the club sandwich, it's the best in Greece! So was the buffet breakfast! Shopping in the Plaka, a short walk, is an experience not to be missed, and bargaining over the price of an item is expected and quite enjoyable. The rooms facing the Square are increble -- beautiful at night with the lights. We hope to return to the Plaza soon, and absolutely would not stay at any other hotel in Athens.

"Great Value and Wonderful Location"
We only stayed at the hotel for one night but after 2 weeks island hopping this was luxury personified. We paid £112 which is peanuts when compared with similar hotels in the UK.The room had every conceivable luxury with a most confortable bed, towling robes and slippers. There was some traffic noise but it didn't worry us at all. The hotel is located at Syntagma Square which is a most attractive area of the city and not at all what we expected Athens to be like. All the main attractions are very close by, it is no more than 15 mins walk to the Acropolis and the main shopping area is literaly on the other side of the square, The staff were very helpful and friendly and keen to assist on any info about attractions and transport. Compared to London we found this part Athens to very reasonable as far as costs are concerned, the food in the local restaurants was a bit on the boring side most of the menus seemed to be the same but we were only paying 35 euros for a meal for 2 people. I thoroughly recommend the hotel and the area around Syntagma Suare

"excellant hotel"
We stayed at the Athens Plaza for three nights and found it to be an excellant hotel. It was exactly what you would expect of a 4 star hotel in England, very clean with great service and centrally located. Would highly recommend it.
The concierge could not have been more helpful and a great choice in the breakfast room. The room was big and a very nice bathroom.
It is situated right on Syntagma square which is a lovely part of Athens with lots of restaurants and cafes in very close proximity and next door to two other top hotels ie Grand Britagne. About a 10 min walk from the Acropolis.
For nights out i would recommend the plaka (a little touristy but some nice restaurants) psiri (great for clubbing and bars) and koloniki (more exclusive restaurants.)

"Geat business stay."
Stayed here while on business in Athens and found it to be a great hotel, centrally located and close to all the city centre attractions. Polite and efficient staff, good restaurant, great bar though there is no restriction on smoking. My room was very large for a standard room - no need to book a club room here. Internet was expensive at 24Eur/day but worked fine. Left the hotel during a huge thunderstorm. Concierge staff stood outside in pouring rain for 15 minutes until he got me a cab and would not accept a tip! Great sevice.
