mrs kendle
just returned from a 1 night stay at the Norbreck Castle. After reading mixed reviews I was quite apprehensive, but as a last minute booking on a bank holiday weekend I thought I would take the rough with the smooth. We were roomed at the back of the hotel and if you craned your neck when looking out of the window, yes we did have a sea-view. The windows didn't open at all which was a bit of a pain as I like fresh air. The rooms were very clean and the bathroom was large which was a bonus. Everything great, no problems. Nice swim in the morning with family.
Breakfast - NIGHTMARE!! Both dining rooms jam packed. Tables not cleared. I actually waited in a queue for 35 minutes and if it wasn't for the simple fact that my little one for starving we would have walked out and called in a cafe somewhere.
Definitely won't return there again.
