"awesome room!" My family and I recently stayed in this hotel for one night due to the location right near the main train station. We checked in around 11pm, and the staff were lovely but we were oh so impressed with the recently renovated rooms! When we checked in we were advized they were renovating and it would be noisy in the morning, but as we were having a 730am check out we didn;t hear a thing. The location was superb for the train station about a 10 mins walk. And the rooms, the best we stayed at in our 10 days in Greece... very modern, spacious and well set out - we were thrilled-even if only for a few hours!

"All Refurb Completed - Nice Hotel" After earlier reviews ,was a little apprehensive about staying here.OK was in an earthier area of town but no need for concern even when walking late at night. Excellent rooms and facilities,24 hour grill restaurant, left out of door, cross road, first right - brilliant food at incredible prices. Buses across road into town. Last but by no means treat yourself to a cocktail at midnight in the roof bar overlooking the Acropolis - fantastic.

Good value During our trip, we had opportunity to stay at a number of hotels. I would rate this hotel at the top of the list. Very clean, helpful staff. The pool was not in operation at the time of our stay but, other than that and the high prices for food, it was a true bargain. The neighborhood was not in the better section of town though, during the day we had no qualms to venture around and it was close to everything or, the means of transportation to get there.

"wonderful swimming pool!" I stayed there for a week. The hotel was ok, as so was the location. you have to walk just a few minutes to the nearest tube stations, and Omonia square, with plenty of restaurants and facilities, is at about 15 minutes by foot. The bedroom was quite big, a big bed and a big sofa, not very up-to-date, but comfortable. The bathroom was new and modern. the best: the restaurant, with a very nice garden view; the swimming pool, not very big, but with views to Acropolis and Lycabetos, unforgetable; the breakfast, the best I´ve had at a hotel: for all tastes, many things, surprises everyday, very tasty, good food. The people working there, kind and helpful. I would go back, liked it very much.

"rooftop pool with acropolis view!" The Novotel Athenes conforms to the standard expected for the Novotel chain. Our room was spacious and equipped with a comfortable bed, satellite TV, balcony and a good ensuite bathroom. The reception staff spoke faultless English, and were very helpful. The rooftop pool is probably the best feature of the hotel being a great place to cool off after a day of sightseeing or simply to enjoy a great view over Athens. The hotel is a 10 minute walk from the Omonia metro station. The walk always seemed safe though the surrounding area seemed a little messy and seedy in places.

"Beuatiful hotel in the heart of Athens, Greece" recommend this hotel for everybody. We enjoyed ourselves very much. Especially the staff. They were WONDERFUL and so helpful.The rooms were neat and clean. The breakfast was buffet and we sat outside and ate on the pedestrian, surrounded by plants and trees. I really recommend this hotel and will go back as soon as I plan my trip to Athens again.
