"High Standard, great location, best rates we could find - highly recommended"
We are writing this so that prospective guests get a balanced view of this property. We stayed at the Hyde Park Plaza Building several times (last time in May 2006); not with Mirvac (pre November 2004 operator but with couple of other (small) operators who own apartments in the building. We find the hotel very pleasant. On two occasions we stayed, we found the studios great! Newly refurbished, very clean and of high standard. The common areas are sleek and of very high standard also. Had we read the reviews earlier we wouldnt have booked and wouldn't have taken advantage of the great rates offered to us!

I was very pleased to wind up my holiday in Australia in this hotel -- I got what appeared to be an excellent price using a hotel booking website, and was quite pleased with value for money -- a rather large room, with full kitchenette, refrigerator, very effective air conditioning, etc. Based on my recent experience, at the rate I paid (about AUS$130 a night), it's definately the best value for money in CBD.
