"Excellent facilities & location"
Having stayed at the Oaks Lexicon for 8 nights in a two-bedroom apartment, I would definitely recommend to anybody wishing to stay centrally within Brisbane. Ideally located for all central activities and rail travel, facilities were excellent as you would expect from what appeared to be a brand new set up. We were located on the top floor (23rd I think!) with excellent views of the city from a spacious balcony, though not for those with a fear of heights I suspect! Reasonably helpful reception & staff, which is a pleasant surprise in this day and age, all for a very affordable price. Overall, we would definitely use again for future visits.

"Love the bats! Love the central location, a great place to stay."
Awesome! Lovely surprise to walk into a huge apartment with a roomy kitchen and great to have a comfy bed. Fantastic views from the balcony (be sure to look outside at night and there are often bats flying around around the other buildings). Expected it to be a bit closer to the Queen St Mall (was perhaps a 10 minute walk) but but can't complain because it was still very central. Oaks Lexicon is very close to the train station (maybe 3 minute walk). A must see is the Roma Street Parklands (about 10 minute walk). A unique experience to see so many lizards and birds in the heart of the city for free (you just need to be paying attention to see the lizards), we saw approx 20 lizards of various sizes, yet people were just walking past them not noticing. A few supermarkets not too far away so that was good because we made good use of the oven in the apartment. One negative is the air conditioning unit was very noisy so we just turned it off and opened the ranchslider. Road noise wasn't too bad at all (we were on the 18th floor). Some people want their hotels to be in the central city yet complain of any noise! Anyway, I can't really fault the place other than the airconditioning unit. Anyway, I hope you have a fantastic holiday :)
