"Brilliant value apartment"
What an apartment - surgically clean, sparkling chrome/steel kitchen, designer furniture, widescreen TV with DVD surround sound, two large bedrooms, utility room, 2 bathrooms (one had a jacuzzi). Floor to ceiling glass windows. 9th floor views. All for about £100 for a family of four. The experience was only let down by the girl on reception when I checked out - she was too busy chatting to her friend in the back office to be civil to me - but for £100, I don't care.

"Incredible views"
The Piermonde surpassed all expectations.
In my opinion, it occupies the most stunning location in all of Cairns City. We stayed in a 2-bedroom 13th-floor waterfront apartment (#1302) overlooking the Cairns Inlet. Watching the sun set over the hills and yachts moored in the Inlet is really quite a spectacular sight to behold.
The apartment itself is centrally located, being only a 2-minute walk to the Esplanade (the main tourist hub), excellent international restaurants and bars/nightlife. It was brand new, super modern and absolutely enormous (140 m2) for a 2-bedroom apartment with ample room for the entire family. It was fully self-contained with 2 large bathrooms (one with jacuzzi), a well equipped kitchen, gorgeous furnishings and a spacious balcony. The toiletries were simply divine!
There are many excellent hotels in Cairns, and I, being a local, have stayed at most of them. The Piermonde is unsurpassed in terms of value-for-money (we paid $240/night) and is a fantastic option for those who prefer the extra space afforded by an apartment than can be offered by the conventional hotel room or suite. I highly recommend the Piermonde and would definitely choose to stay there again.

"Piermonde 1302"
Piermonde 1302 is a two bedroom apartment, privately owned and managed by Jodie and Kim in Travstar. Very high standard of fixtures, fittings, cleanliness etc. Location was superb in every way. Overlooked Trinity wharf, round the corner from main quay, corner of the esplanade, very close to centre of Cairns. Spectacular views, very quiet and very comfortable. Everything within easy reach, only used the car to travel out of Cairns.
