I've been travelling for 10 months on this trip, and this is the best and friendliest place I've stayed. The staff were super helpful and took a lot of time to make me feel welcome when I arrived. The rooms were great - really clean, good hot water, all in all excellent value. But it's the staff that make this place a cut above the rest.

"Lovely place, lovely staff
The staff couldn't do more for us here. We booked in for 2 nights originally but on the first night I had to be rushed into hospital. The staff were so concerned for me and went out of their way to help me with medical paperwork. We had to extend our stay in Hanoi due to me taking ill. However the hotel was full so they transfered us to the sister hotel(Hanoi Guest house) 4 mins walk away. The owner paid for the taxi to take us there and continued to come over to the hotel to help with my medical insurance claim and ask how I was. The Old Street hotel was clean and nicely presented. We had a lovely airy room with little extras like soap, toothbrush, slippers, hair dryer and TV. The internet access was excellent also and free! I would definately recommend this hotel.

value for money !
I stayed in this hotel from 7 Oct to 10 Oct 08 with 8 of my friends in 4 rooms. Its value for money and extremely cozy. Walking distance to Emporium and a lot of restaurants & massage nearby. Will definitely stay here again.

Comfortable feeling in Hanoi Old Quarter Street.
"I stayed here 2 times. It's great value for money, small and convenient. Now offering Wi-Fi internet connection at free everyday; this is a really good amount and the connection is good and fast.Service is good, rooms are clean and pleasant and the breakfast and service at breakfast remains, I think, the equal of any of 3*** Hanoi’s hotels in which I've stayed.

Good service.
We had a really wonderful time during our four nights stay at this Hotel. I am truly impressed by the hospitality and service by the hotel staffs. They make our stay at a foreign country so warm and I am very satisfied with the cleanliness and size of the room as well.It is only around 5 minutes walk to the nearest Hoan Kiem Lake or to Emporium Shopping Centre.

Great location in Hanoi .
Old Street Hotel is located very centrally right in the heart of Hanoi directly to Hoan Kiem Lake, restaurants and massage. Rooms were clean and spacious. Nice breakfast. Impress with the service. Not so good points include poor TV reception, a very small and sparse pool. Presently though, there is some construction going on beside the hotel so it can get quite noisy in the day. Fine at night. A great value mid price hotel.Definitely Will come back.
