"Fantastic!!"
What can I say ...had 5 amazing nights at the Royal Mirage - The Palace. On arrival you felt very special, we did have to wait an hour and a half for our room to be ready however this was fine as we had breakfast and wondered round the hotel having a look.
Building work - not a problem you can hear a slight buzzing in the back round but thats about it. On the beach to your right hand side you can see in the far distance lorries driving back and forth but you barely notice it. Straight ahead of you is Palm Island you can see it but its not ugly view it just looks like an island not a building site. To the side of you 2 buildings are being worked on but it no way spoils the setting and again noise is barely there!
They treat you like Kings, they will do anything for you.
Rooms were very spacious - I was thrilled! Bed was massive. They provided you with fresh fruit every day and at night free bottles of water. Room were exceptionally clean.
Resturants were lovely I would reccommend the Beach Bar and Grill. For breakfast Celebrities was definatly better, I must admit Iv had better breakfasts in other hotels but it still was top class with a chef cooking you anything you wanted along with the usual buffet style foods and cerals etc.
Swimming pool lovely with Palm trees everywhere and the beach has white sand and clear water! The bar there serveslovely food for lunch at reasonable prices aprox 40 DIR.
The safari was excellent - brilliant food - would definatly reccommend!
We has afternoon tea at the 7* hotel - 190 DIR - very lovely...you may as well just to say uv been but u have to book before hand with your hotel or directly.
Warnings - traffic is very bad out there so allow extra time and after 5pm its manic. We thought we'd do all our sight seeing tours in the evening however its just not possible we were stuck in hours of traffic.
Shoppings malls are nice...price wise for clothes same as UK.
Gold Souk.....well worth a visit gold/silver/diamonds definatly loads cheaper - plus u can haggle!
Water Park was under construction - it was ok ... nothing special but nice if u want somewhere different to go to break up the day!
Cabs very cheap.
Would definatlt definatly go there - the hotel is lovely and you get pampered! The hotel has 3 parts to it and you can use all 3 - there is a shuttle service to each one running up until aprox 12.30am but you can walk its just a lot easier.
Enjoy!

"Absolute bliss"
Have just returned from a very short stay at the Palace, Royal Mirage, and just had to write to say how fantastic it was. Everything, from the moment you arrive, is superb. The staff are extremely helpful and polite and, as the previous reviews have stated, the pool staff are amazing. We ate at the Beach Bar a couple of times and each time were not disappointed. We also dined at Olives which was excellent value for money. I would definately recommed this hotel if you are looking for, intimacy, pure indulgence in romantic surroundings - cant wait to return.
P.S. We were hoping to book the JUMERIAH BEACH HOTEL initially but it was fully booked. Having paid a visit, I have to say that we were really glad to have got into the Palace and it was around £200 cheaper!!

"Great Hotel, lots on construction but its everywhere in dubai"
I do not understand why this hotel has such a low rating. I visited many hotels while i was in dubai and the only two that i saw which were nicer were the burj and al quasar (though the madinat is not very personal and a bit like disney world of dubai). This hotel is definitely far better than the ritz carlton (where we considered staying) which is also surrounded by construction. Hotel is beautiful and without the construction i would say one of the best i have ever stayed at. Has a great club, resturants and rooms are big and very nice with marble bathrooms. poroblem is when you go to beach there is construction in front of you all the way down (one of the arms of the palm is in front of hotel so the beach is more like a bay, there is no clear view out to the sea horizon at any part of the hotel. Also if i were going to stay here while construction is going on at palm, you need to stay at palace and not the other two resorts of the one and only. they are much closer to the palm and you can hear the construction very loudly (much more so than the palace). If I were deciding on where to go, i would scrap dubai and go to oman and stay at the chedi...much better than anything you will get in dubai. you can also do dubai/oman very easily together on gulf air.

"12th Time & Never Tire"
We were one of the first guests to stay here, when it was under Sun International ownership.
We can say that this is one of the best hotels we have stayed in. You would have trouble finding a better hotel.
Luxurious & Opulent does not come close to describing the resort.
You are made to feel very welcome by every member of staff.
If you can get the offer on Half Board, it's excellent value to your holiday.
We now have a 22 month old daughter who has been with us now 3 times. So don't be afraid to think it's a no-go zone for kids, they go free up to the age of 12.

"Royal Mirage Never Fails to Deliver"
Returning guests at EIDE for the 2nd time.Hotel full to capacity but never felt crowded.Service and hospitality first class as usual. This hotel group in this complex is without equal in the Jumeirah beach resorts when comparing value for money, service, effiency, friendliness and that five star treatment-who needs over the top seven star service where you can never be free to relax and chill out without butlers and maids hovering.
Construction work not a problem in this location-can hardly hear it and you need binoculars to see it on Palm Island.Traffic gridlocked on the routes into city centre between 5pm to 7pm but other times fine-a reverse rush hour direction compared to most other cities-just avoid until the new roadworks are completed.
