"Nice little hotel - quiet a surprise"
ok at first you think oh no what have i done the hotel is tiny and shabby looking from the outside. Then you go up lots of stairs to your room - which is quiet big for a european hotel room. It is clean and the views are nice. Service was great - room was clean and best of all it was dirt cheap and located in the heart of venice - you honestly cant ask for more! Stay here and you wont be disappointed!

"Great Location and Friendly Staff"
This hotel has many pluses - great location, friendly staff, good price, and reasonably well appointed continental breakfast included in the price of the room. The only downside of the hotel is that the room was very small for a family of four. In retrospect, we should have booked two rooms because there really wasn't enough room to fully unpack everyone's suitcases for a family with two teenage children. We felt like we were living in each other's pocket. The room overlooked the courtyard which was relatively quiet at night for being so close to St. Marks square. There is a gelato shop right across from the entrance to the store which also was a plus! :-)

"Gorgeous hotel, great location and very friendly staff!"
Hotel Orion was such a gorgeous little hotel. The location was absolutely perfect, 1 minute walk to St Mark's Square and 5 minute walk to Rialto Bridge and right in the heart of all the designer shops! The staff were really friendly and helpful and possibly among the nicest hotel staff we met on our 6 week holiday around Europe. We found our triple room fine for three people, we understood that it was a little bit smaller than normal due to Venice being a small island and everything being quite packed in, so that was fine. The room was very well air conditioned which was great because it was very hot when we were in Venice. Our bathroom overlooked the cute little street below the hotel and we could see St Mark's Basilica from our window. It really was beautiful. Breakfast was okay and compared to all the other breakfasts we had on our holiday it was probably one of the most stingy in terms of what you got - you were limited to 1 croissant or muffin each and if you wanted more you would have to pay. But you could have other things like yoghurt and cereal as well and it would all fill you up fine. The coffee here was probably the best coffee we had in Europe! I would highly recommend this hotel to anyone, it was beautiful, really cute, lovely staff and perfect location.

"Jewel of Venice"
When we arrived after a long train journey, we were 2 hours early for check in. The staff could see that we were in need of a lie down and without asking upgraded us to apartments next door that they manage. Breakfast is nice upstairs. The location is excellent next to St Marks and to the vaparetto and gondola stops. The staff were very helpful and even walked us to a local restaurant as it was in a hard to find location. Highly recommended, private bathrooms, clean, helpful and the best location in Venice.
