Ostoya Palace Hotel is a two-floor 19th century Polish palace. It is located in the historical centre of Krakow and entered in the list of Krakow historical buildings. It was meticulously restored and converted into a 4 star hotel making it the mainstay of Krakow tradition and the ancient Polish custom of boundless hospitality, combining elegance, discretion and culture with the art of feasting, enjoyment and merrymaking.

Quaint... Delightful...
I've just got back from spending 3 nights at the Ostoya. Thoroughly recommend the hotel due to its superb location and delightful furnishing. To top it all up, the staff were exceptionally helpful and warm.

"Disappointed"
We booked four nights over the internet at this hotel, received confirmation etc etc. We arrived at the hotel to be told that a mistake had been made with our booking and that there was no room available. We were a bit disappointed as we specifically booked this hotel on a recommendation and that it was a boutique style not a chain of hotels. They transferred us to the Holiday Inn where I must say after some reservations we had a most enjoyable break. If you decide to book over the internet it might be worthwhile giving them a ring to confirm they have received your booking as receiving one as we did, did not mean anything.

"A Little Gem of a Hotel"
What a lovely hotel! Staff very professional buy friendly at the same time. 10 minutes walk into the city centre, and the tram stop near the hotel goes into the Jewish quarter, rather than the centre. Rooms spacious, beds were hard but comfortable mattresses. Only one pillow provided per guest, but extras were provided if asked for. Kettles not issued in rooms as standard, but again, were provided if asked for. Bathroom fully stocked with toiletries, and big fluffy bathrobes. We ate in the pub downstairs, which was reasonably priced - beer 8 zloty for half litre, which was approx £1.40 at our exchange rate. Sauna was charged at 15 zloty for 30 minutes, just under £3. Word of warning - the staff "warm up" the sauna an hour before you use it - they seem to think you want it extremely hot! 10 minute walk to the central square, and the tram that ran past the front of the hotel to the Jewish quarter was not a problem, as rooms are double glazed. Only 2 floors to this hotel, but if you want a room with a view, book 1st floor, as the 2nd floor only have skylights.

"Great hotel"
We have just returned from a 3 night break to Krakow, staying at the Ostoya Palace Hotel. We were thoroughly impressed with the hotel facilities and the service provided by all the staff. We were fortunate enough to stay in what appeared to be a family room (even though there were only two of us!) and it was huge, and was furnished and decorated to a very high standard. The Kuranty Pub underneath the hotel serves very reasonably priced and nice food, and we were fortunate enough to catch 'The Old Metropolitan' band performing, a local jazz band. The hotel is ideally located within walking distance of the main sights of Krakow - eg the main square is 10 minutes at a stroll. We would certainly stay in the hotel again if we return to Krakow. Additionally, our trip was organised by escape2poland, a company we would thoroughly recommend.

"Lovely small hotel"
Stayed here for 2 nights with my parents and teenage children. Lovely hotel - small and beautifully clean. Rooms were an excellent size and the service from the staff was consistently excellent. A perfect base for the sites of central krakow without being as close and noisy as a hotel in the main square - which is 5 minutes walk away. Breakfast was a good mix of east and west european, with the only downside being not being able to work the air-con! Highly recommended !

"Fantastic hotel"
Having just spent a great 2 nights in this hotel I can highly recommend it to all! A very good price for a hotel of this standard. Beautifully furnished, all very classy, very comfortable beds, great shower - I am struggling to find fault! Also a very good location, just minutes from the main square. Breakfast good, but don't sleep in all morning!
