Widely spaced on 33 acres of natural grounds and interspersed with gardens and lava-rock ponds, 42 white plantation-style buildings face Poipu Beach, once declared by the world's foremost expert as America's best. Access to upper floors is by outside stairs, not elevators. Wireless Internet access is available in public areas.

* Guests enjoy access to the Kiahuna Swim and Tennis Club, which is located on the north side of the hotel, just across Poipu Road. It features a lagoon-shaped pool with a shallow children’s area, a jetted spa, and a waterslide.
