"Lovely Hotel - Great Service!"
The rooms were beautifully decoracted - tasteful and very clean - the service was excellant and the continental breakfast delicious. Five minutes walk from San Marco Piazza - so not in the busy (and expensive area) but close enough to all the wonderful sights to be seen in the centre of Venice. An experience that will not be forgotten for a very long time. We will definately stay there again when we return to Venice.

"Loved the Palazzo Schiavoni"
My wife, our 2 teens, and my wife's parents stayed here for three nights this past August. I can't begin to write how helpful and caring Niccolo and his wife were--they made us feel so welcome! And they went out of their way to explain maps and ACTV schedules, recommend sights to see, and arrange for taxis. The suite itself was sumptuous and clean, and the cloth bag of warm rolls on our doorknob each morning was a welcome treat. We also appreciated the fridge stocked and restocked with some essentials. Sleeping with open windows for the cool night breeze [this during the heat wave] and for the early morning sounds of the city awakening was extra special. Convenient, clean, pleasant, friendly --highly recommended!!

"The Palazzo Schiavonni is a GEM!"
This palazzo is a gem. The apartment was immaculate, comfortable, and beautiful. Its location on a minor canal gave us an opportunity to truly experience life in Venice. While eating our breakfast, we gazed out the windows and watched the boats pull up out front and deliver groceries, beverages, etc. Since we travelled in August, the air conditioning was a plus. It is only a few minutes walk from the San Zaccaria waterbus/water taxi stop. You can easily get to that stop from the airport and travel anywhere you need to go by water or on foot. No car is necessary. We recommend this family owned and run hotel very highly! Much more pleasant to the eyes and ears than the touristy busy hotels |
