"Great Location on lido"
Stayed at Lido for 5 days , Hotel was in excellent location to get anywhere by watertaxi ,right outside hotel door. Hotel staff were very friendly and helpfull with many tips given nothing too much trouble. Lido is the only place with beach so one tip is not to use it on weekends as all locals use beach so it was very busy. Food is expensive in many restraunts and menu is very much the same, so would highly recommend chinese restraunt round the back of hotel which was very enjoyable and half the price.Would recomend Hotel if you are staying on lido ,we really enjoyed our stay.

"Fantastic Holiday"
The Hotel Panorama is an excellent base for seeing the sites of Venice. The hotel is lovely, large rooms and bathroom with a lovely view overlooking the lido and out to St Marks Square. The only downside to this hotel is that you do have to travel 10 minutes on a water bus every day to get to the main sites of Venice. This is not an issue as the journey is lovely, but it can be frustrating on the way home having wait for and then get onto a crowed bus.
I can highly recommend Venice as a site seeing destination and the Hotel Panorama as a base for the trip.

"Great hotel with wonderful staff"
Very nice rooms and lovely bathrooms. Spectacular views towards St Marks Sq. Staff are fantastic, couldnt be more helpful both before and during our stay. Venice Lido is perfect - you have great beaches with all facilities on the one hand and the wonders of Venice on the other. Its in a very convenient location - the waterbus stop is immediately opposite the hotel. For Venice it's excellent value for money and we wouldn't hesitate to stay there again. Very highly recommended indeed.

"A lovely base for exploring the Venetian islands"
Ignore the review of the moron who thinks it's in Crete, this is an excellent hotel, and a real find. Bear in mind it's on Lido, which is (I think) a better base for exploring Venice, since it's not as crampled and full of tourists as the main Venice islands, and has some excellent restaurants and trattorias nearby - but Lido is a separate island, which means St Marks Square et al are a vaporetto (water bus) ride away.
To avoid duplicating the comments of others, I'll tell you a couple of things I didn't know before I went.
The hotel is right by the shore, and also just by the Vaporetti stop. The view from the lagoon facing rooms is fabulous - and you can see the massive cruise ships sailing up and down the Guidecca canal. If you can't get a lagoon room, the view from the terrace is stunning (don't miss the terrace - we did until our last night!). This makes it ideally placed for getting to the main Venice island - also where the Alilaguna boats which run from the airport dock - but I did worry about the noise, since the Vaporetti run from early in the morning until late at night. I needn't have - the double glazing is good, and the air conditioning is better, which means you'll have no trouble sleeping.
All the staff were lovely, the standard of cleanliness within the hotel was excellent.
There's a water taxi stop not far from the hotel, but be aware that water taxis don't normally wait there for pickups - if you want a water taxi best to ask at the hotel reception to ring for one.
A corner of the hotel is given over to a bank branch, which means you have an ATM just around the corner from the hotel entrance.
The hotel doesn't have any restaurant or room-service food, other than the breakfast, which is nothing to write home about, but it's adequate. From my (admittedly limited) experience of Venetian hotels that's not unusual. Food in the restaurant trattoria next door was good, food at the Belvedere hotel nearby not so good.
