"Welcome to Paradise"
Palm Cove is a small township located between Cairns and Port Douglas. Paradise on the Beach is on the beach being seperated by a road. The views across the bay are fantastic and the accommodation excellent. Our studio room was spacious and consisted of a double bed, table, chairs, cupboard, dressing table, refrigerator and tv. All the accommodation is on level 1 and 2 and access off the street is via reception which houses a wide range of literature of things to do. The ground floor is undercover parking and the rooms are builtm in a L shape round the pool. The spa is located above the pool and all are kept clean and inviting.
The staff are very helpful and we thoroughly enjoyed our 5 day stay during which time we made use of the spa and pool on a daily basis. The pool is open 7am to 9pm and the resort is adjacent to a small shopping complex and a variety of cafes/restaraunts. The resort is accommodation only but we found eating out no problem with excellent breakfast at Cockys a few doors away and our evenings were spent mainly at Stingers near the jetty.
Swimming is restricted to a netted area on the beach due to the Stingers but during our stay that area was also closed due to the presence of crocodile.
No hesitation in recommending. To get out and about car hire is available and there is a regular bus service to Cairns with the last bus returning to palm Cove at 2am. to get to Port Douglas there is a free shuttle.
we made use of organised tours and several of these were booked via the resort. Without being asked the resort staff contacted us on the thursday prior to our departure to ensure that transport to the airport was in order. What service , nothing too much trouble.
Palm Cove itself is an ideal spot for basing oneself for the reef. Karunda and many other places of interest.

"Loved it!"
Booked this hotel via it's own website and also arranged for the airport transfer through the hotel. Upon arrival we were informed that we'd been upgraded from a Seafront Studio room to a Seafront Spa Suite. What a great room, with a large living room containing TV, dining table, sofa and the bedroom containing a large comfortable bed with jacuzzi off to one side. Large clean bathroom with walk in shower. Balcony and jacuzzi overlooked the beach and sea. The staff at the hotel were very helpful and friendly. Location was great, next to the small shopping centre in Palm Cove. Only slight criticism was that you could hear the Saturday night karaoke in the Apres Bar next door which went on until after midnight. Other than that, Palm Cove was very quiet, most restaurants were full around 7pm and a couple of bars closed by about 9:30pm! Nice relaxing place though, would highly recommend it.
