Parador Alcaniz Hotel, built on the top of the hill this 12th-13th century castle-convent became the seat of the Order of Calatrava in 1179. Dominating the landscape of the Maestrazgo, it conserves the keep, the bell tower-sacristy and the part reconverted into an 18th Aragonese palace.
Gothic walls, plateresque tomb and baroque facade are inserted into an interior with soft, orange-coloured shades, adorned with Spanish wood furniture and beams. As in the rest of the building, the lobby features gothic wall-paintings. |

P.n. Alcaniz Hotel is located at the top of the Cerro Pui-Pinos, at the foot of which extends a city of squares with porticos and narrow streets with balconies, maintaining its medieval charms. Alcaņiz is located 105 kilometres from Zaragoza.
