Parador Argomaniz Hotel is located in a hill from which it dominates the natural beauty of the Plains of Alava, the Gorbea mountain range and the Ullibarri Gamboa reservoir. From the parador one can visit the capital of the province, Vitoria, which has many gothic monuments to be seen and Logrono with its famous Baroque cathedral.

"Stunning, historical, friendly place"
Though the city of Argomaniz was not on our roadmap (make sure you bring directions with you), the locals directed us to the Parador with no problems. This is an excellent, elegant gorgeous hotel. The staff is friendly and knowledgable without being overbearing, and the Parador itself has an interesting royal history. Hands down, the BEST meal we had in Spain. Highly highly recommend the restaurant, even if you don't stay at the Parador. The dining room is stunning, with original beamed ceilings from the middle ages. I can't say enough great things about this place. Perfect place to go after a day in the Rioja wine country. And in terms of Paradors, the price was very fair.
