Paramount Angel Hotel is a beautiful 4 star air conditioned Victorian hotel situated in the heart of the city centre overlooking Cardiff Castle and the castle grounds. LOCATION
Paramount Angel Hotel is situated in the city centre, occupying a corner of a main thoroughfare, opposite Cardiff Arms Park, the home of Welsh rugby. As well as Cardiff castle which can be seen from some of the bedrooms. It is a few minutes walk from Cardiff rail and bus stations.

* Castell's restaurant is a popular eatery within the city for residents and non-residents alike and serves traditional Welsh cuisine.
* The hotel has a leisure club which incorporates the latest in excercise equipment, also, a sauna, solarium and beauty salon.
* Alternatively there's the magnificent Dragon Suite that you can hire for up to 300 guets and is the envy of most other hotels in the city. This room has a civil ceremony licence, its own bar and a large dance and stage area for your evening entertainment. The Angel is very popular for holding your special wedding day because of its fantastic loaction and high standards of service.
* The Angel has nine elegant meetings rooms, the Dragon Suite being the largest and one of the most enviable in the city. This can hold 300 of your delegates, theatre-style and 280 for a dinner dance or banquet. With 102 modern bedrooms too most of your delegates can stay overnight. |

Central location at the heart of bustling city. Just opposite the wonderful castle. 15 min. walking from the station. Hotel personel willing to help. Friendly reception. No delay on check in and check out. Fascinating exterior. Wide selection in breakfast. Non-smoking rooms. Higly recommended! |

"Cardiff A Wonderful City- Great Hotel/Food/Sightseeing"
We (2 adventurous almost senior ladies) had a wonderful 3 day trip from Saturday-Tuesday. I felt safe and people were helpful on the street, in stores, and the hotels.
Cardiff is a wonderful city for people of all ages. It has good public transportation which helps with your budget and if you can get lodging close to the City Center, you can walk to many places of interest.
We stayed at the well run Angel Hotel at a reduced rate through one of the links/TripAdvisor ads. The rooms were clean and well appointed. It is a beautiful hotel, nice dining room, buffet breakfast available with fruit, eggs, meats, breads, cereals, etc. Nice size bathroom including tub and shower. This hotel's location is ideal --across the street from the castle; five to ten minute walk from the City Center Shopping area which includes all kinds of shops. Two minutes from the bus stop for the bus to the Welsh Museum which is great for all ages. Check the schedule for this bus however, because it is more of an hourly schedule. You can also get this bus fron the Central bus Station.
There are also busses that go to the Millenium Bay and Center. If you like Thai/Cantonese, then eat at the Bay Restaurant. If you like Italian food, eat at Gios located at the Hayes (not far from the Marks and Spencer Store ) in the City Center.
The Wales Museum near the Hilton hotel is also a great place to visit for folk of all ages.
If you are traveling by train, Central Train Station is easy to reach and taxis are easy to get.
Also, please try the Brains Beer which is only available in Cardiff and a few towns nearby. The smooth was delightful and I am not a regular beer drinker.
