"delightful"
My husband, daughter and I stayed at the Parco Dei Principi in January 2002 on our first trip to Italy. The room and the view from our balcony were wonderful, the breakfast buffet was very good, and the concierge service was excellent. The concierge set us up with a tour, recommended a terrific restaurant, and even helped us find a laundry.

"Super Elegant"
I stayed at this hotel in 2001 on my first trip to Rome. It was the most elegant hotel I have ever stayed in. The overall atmosphere of the hotel made me feel like royalty. The location of the hotel is great too. It backs up to a beautiful park & is within a 5-10 minutes walk from almost everything. Definitely recommended!!!

"We Loved it"
I had not been to Rome, Italy in 30 years and my wife had never been to Europe. People were telling my wife not to wear her good jewelry and not carry a pocketbook or fanny pack. She was scared before we even left home.Rome was great. We stayed at the Parco Dei Principi Hotel just north of Villa Borghese. The hotel was great, the staff was excellent and friendly. While we did not venture too far from the hotel at night, we walked all over Rome during the day. I did not want to take taxi's because I wanted to see and live the experience, so we walked; from the hotel to the coloseum and everywhere in between. We had a fabulous time and did not hear about, see or have anything bad happen. Of course, no matter where you go, you need to be aware of your surroundings. We are going back in 18 months with our children as their graduation presents.

"perfect luxury"
Exceptional hotel, everything you could ever want - great pool, marveloous room (we had a suite), pure luxury, view of St Peters from balcony, quiet location (although only 20 mins from Spanish steps through Borghese gardens). Perfect. Coming back again!!!!!

"Great but watch the poo"
Beautiful hotel with gorgeous common areas. To reach our room, we had to take a set of stairs from the reception area, then a door, hallway and another set of stairs, we almost thought were on a different building. However the room was very large, almost a suite, but with views on a small street. Good base for visiting Rome, and one day after returning from our shopping we still saw the porter/security guy looking at a dog poo left since the morning. That would not happen in London. The hotel is located opposite the American embassy so if you go down the road you will reach an area with lots of nice restaurants. If you dare to book the restaurant up the road on the left (on the top floor of this hotel - have forgottent the name, but very famous), be warned, there is a waiter (the one that keeps his hands in the air when serving like he is in a duel) will let you wait for your change (some 50 euros tip for him). We couldn't be bothered to argue, since the view from the restaurant was so good. A little bit disappointed with the Italians, loud and shouting/rude even when asked questions in Italian. The airport is funny when you leave, so if up to no trouble always travel with British Airways.

"Saved Rome for us!"
We hated Rome after one night in an overated ,overpriced central hotel. Then we moved to this paradise on the park and loved Rome and it for a week. Magnificent in every way is not an overstatement! Gorgeous rooms, furnishings, food, surroundings, pool, and most of all ...people. Staff was like family from the first to last moment...and superbly well informed about the hotel and the city. Views have to be the best in Rome and only a short shuttle ride from via veneto and its overpriced hotels. From ready to give up and go home early to hating to leave and delaying departure for days ...all thanks to this wonderful escape from busy touring days and it's marvellous management at all levels.

"Amazing Hotel, Total Luxury"
I booked this hotel for my first trip to Rome, it was a present for my boyfriends birthday and he had been before and loved it. On arrival the hotel lobby is like walking into a museum or art gallery with beautiful works of art all around and some lovely comfortable chairs and sofa's, the decor is very warm and welcoming. I had prepaid our room by credit card and they checked us in extremely quickly and efficiently and gave me my credit card receipt there and then. A porter brought us and our bags to our room, showed us around and brought us to the window and the AMAZING view of the Borghese Gardens, the hotels swimming pool and the dome of St. Peter's Basilica in the distance. Our room was stunning, really big with a huge, very comfortable king-size bed, lovely antiques and paintings. In addition, the hotel manager had left a signed note welcoming us with a half-bottle of desert wine and some home-made cookies - a lovely touch after the journey. Breakfast every morning was fantastic, I'm not normally a huge breakfast fan but loved it here with plenty of choice and lovely friendly staff. While the hotel is a little off the beaten track but I actually liked this. It was lovely and quiet and the views and location close to the Borghese Gardens more than made up for any issue of this. All in all, Rome overwhelmed me it was so beautiful, I enjoyed every second but a lot to do with the overall experience was staying at the Parco dei Principi Hotel. I'd highly recommend it.

"Honeymoon in paradise!"
We went to this hotel for our honeymoon. It was pure luxury! They have every aspect covered, from the taxi to the airport, to the guy who cleans the pool. We spent an indulgent week there, enjoying the pool, the room and the amazing food and wine. When it was time to leave we had one last drink by the pool and the pool guy picked me a rose, what a touch!
