Park Hotel is a comfortable four-star hotel that offers great value for money and is well located in the exciting city centre of Amsterdam. Situated on the Stadhouderskade, the Park Hotel stands between the famous Leidse Square (Leidseplein) cafes and restaurants and Museum Square (Museumplein), home to the Rijksmuseum, Van Gogh Museum and Stedelijk Museum. Park Hotel is located in the center of the city center. It’s walking distance to all the attractions and museums.
The beds are not very comfortable but the bathrooms and the rooms are very clean. I think they remodeled some rooms but not the others.

"best stay ever in A'dam!"
We have in Amsterdam in 2005. Recently my wife and I stayed at this fabulous hotel. First of all the staff is just great! Friendly, warm and most helpful. It was a rainy day when we arrived in the hotel and
we were both wet. The first thing the receptionist offered was a fresh towel!! Wow I think that is service with a capital S. Friends suggested this hotel because of the location and I can only say it is the best. Around the corner you will find the flagship stores, nightlife, entertainment and all museums. We stayed in one of their new superior rooms. Cool design, great rain shower and a fantastic mattress. We had a great meal at the brasserie, reasonable priced, a place with cool Art work. Just loved it!

"great location"
Stayed three nights - superior suite, standard size room, fantastic bed, amazing shower (couldn't figure how to work mood lightening). Location is very good near a lot of restaurants, shops, museum and park. Paid 215 euro approx per night - Amsterdam is expensive found it difficult to get a better deal on websites for this kind of standard hotel. Also found it very easy to arrive from airport to hotel - probably much quicker than taxi/shuttle bus. Check hotel website for direction.

"An excellent place to stay"
We stayed for three nights at the Park Hotel and found it to be really good. The staff were friendly, efficient, knowledgeable and helpful. The room was generally clean and comfortable. We asked for extra toiletries which they swiftly provided without fuss. We were very pleased with the location (next to Vondelpark), away from the touristy part but within walking distance of key attractions. It is also serviced by a number of tram routes. Our room was on the first floor (non-smoking) facing the street but we didn't really hear the traffic. We didn't eat at the hotel restaurant ourselves but met people who had and they very much recommended it, commenting particularly upon the friendly staff.
I would only have two small points of quibble. The first was the slight whiff of cigarette smoke that we detected when settling down for the night. However, it was very slight and given some of the harsher smells coming from the Smartshops of Amsterdam, we can hardly complain! The second would be that the tea cups in our room were stained on the outside and had not been given a good wash. We could have asked for replacement cups but didn't really need them so didn't ask.
All in all, a really good hotel that I would definitely stay at again.

"Pleasant Experience"
Overall, a pleasant experience. The hotel is in a great location, and the personnel was very helpful. We did have a bit of a problem as an American learning the phone system, though. The restaurant within was excellent, and again, in a very good location to shopping, eating, etc. I would definitely stay there again.

"Such a wonderful place"
I have just returned from a fabulous weekend at the Brandshatch Place. If I had read the other reviews before I visited (or booked!) I would have changed my mind. But my experiences are the complete opposite.
I found the staff so welcoming and helpful; the room was easy to find (we didn't require any help with luggage and found the room very easily) and the facilities are wonderful.
Check-in was quick and friendly - help was offered for luggage, and I needed some local questions answered which were no problem at all.
We had a problem with our car (quite ironic as it is Brands Hatch I guess!) and was assisted by a manager named Lasse. He was so kind and professional in his manner and took all the stress away for us!
Had excellent spa treatments with 2 different therapists who were very knowledgeable. Really relaxing and drifted off a number of times!
We used the bar before and after dinner. Dinner was excellent - the quality of food was wonderful and the staff were professional and friendly. I really enjoyed the Dover Sole and it is such a refreshing change to see it served in the restaurant in such a traditional manner.
We enjoyed it so much that we have booked another weekend for the New Year and have recommended to a number of friends. I intend to take a group of colleagues for a team-building excercise in the Spring and this hotel is at the top of my list of choices.
I stay in hotels (combination of business and leisure) on average 5-10 nights a month - both nationally and internationally and I really cannot recommend this hotel enough - it was such a wonderful weekend and we are looking forward to our next visit.

"Fantastic!"
The staff here were so friendly and very welcoming, it made you feel valued as a customer. Help was offered with locating my room and with dealing with luggage. The facilities were brilliant. The only downside I could think of is the pool isn't that big, however it is still nice and clean. The food here was delicious, very high quality. I would definitely come here again!
