Park Hotel Tokyo is connected via underground and overhead walkways to Shidome Station and the surrounding Media City buildings located in Tokyo, Japan. This hotel is part of the Shidome Media Tower, and is located one kilometer from the Ginza shopping district and Tsukiji fish market.

PROPERTY AMENITIES
* Fine-dining French restaurant and bar with panoramic daytime city views. Bar features wine selection and New York-style cocktails. Booth- and table-style seating options complemented by wood floors, minimalist décor, and soft lighting. Reservations recommended for lunch and dinner. American breakfast also served daily.
* Hanasanshou:
Traditional Japanese restaurant serving Kaiseki (small, distinct courses served at timed intervals) of seasonal ingredients supplied from a farming family in Kyoto that has been growing vegetables for 400 years. Breakfast or porridge set comes with soup and three types of healthy small dishes. Lunch specialties include Shokado/bento lunch box and mini-Kaiseki course. Dinners include a selection of à la carte items, in addition to kaiseki cuisine and a choice of more than 50 types of shochu (distilled alcoholic drink similar to sake).
* The Lounge:
Serves coffee, tea, and desserts at small clusters of tables and armchairs in atrium lobby area. Bar menu also available at dinner. Open for all three meals.
* The hotel’s Institut de Phyto-Aromathérapie salon offers personalized aromatherapy massages and treatments using 30 different essential-oil products that have been tested in German and Japanese labs.
* Other conveniences include a European-themed gift shop featuring works by French artist Monique Le Houelleur, whose handmade art decorates the hotel, and the ground-floor Constance Spry Flower School and Shop, the only branch of its kind outside the UK, where it was originally founded by Constance Spry, who once provided floral arrangements for the British Royal Family. "Best Hotel Value in Tokyo BY A MILE!"
The two hotel mistakes a Tokyo tourist can make is (1) spend a not-so-small fortune and (2) stay in a hotel that isn't convenient to the invaluable and super-easy-to-use Tokyo subway/train system.
A good Tokyo hotel can easily cost $300, $400, or more a night. I was really worried that at roughly $155 a night, the Park Hotel would be a dump. Boy, was I wrong. It is a sleek, modern, new, immaculately clean, trendy, and gorgeous hotel. Anything under $200 a night is a bargain in Tokyo and I can't imagine that there is a better bang for the buck anywhere in the entire city of Tokyo.
The hotel is very close to one of the main subway lines and an easy 8-10 minute walk to Shimbashi station, which makes it a snap to get to all the other popular areas: Roppongi, Shinjuku, Meiji, Akihibara, Tokyo Station, and Shibuya. I can't emphasize enough how critical it is to choose a hotel that is close to a subway/train hub.
This hotel is also within easy, easy walking distance to the Ginza and the Tsukiji fish market. Both of those are absolute must visits.
By the way, the only reason to get to the Tsukiji fish market before 6:00 is if you want to see the actual auction process. I found the post-auction process the most interesting. Things like carving up the monster tunas, strolling the colorful seafood stalls, and watching the elaborate engine of sushi commerce in action. My advice is to sleep in a little and arrive around 7:00 AM instead.
The only negative is the size of the room. They are indeed small. It was no problem for me because I was traveling by myself, but I the size would be a serious problem for anything more than 2 people. Don't bring a family here.
The hotel restaurants are good but expensive.
Take advantage of the Family Mart store in the basement. Family Mart is the 7-11 of Japan and has drinks, snacks, and cheap-but-delicious bento boxes to eat.
Unless you're rich and have money to burn, this is the VERY, VERY, VERY best deal in all of Tokyo.

"Very enjoyable stay"
I spend half my time travelling on business in Asia and Europe, and have relied on this site to provide hotel insights so I thought it's time I give back to fellow travellers and readers :)
I booked the hotel room on their site, which gave me a good idea of what the availabilities were, especially last minute bookings (I booked it about 4 days before arrival). I booked a small room (with double bed) for approximately 18,000 Yen (approximately US $160).
Overall the rooms were very clean, excellent and cosy for one person (might be a tad cramp for two as the room is possibly the smallest I've every stayed in in Japan). View from hotel room is fantastic and a small bistro table is provided right next to the window so you get breathtaking view sipping coffee or having room service.
In typical Japanese fashion, hotel staff were very helpful and friendly. The hotel is within a 10-minute walking distance to the Ginza line which takes you straight to Shibuya within 15 mins if you need to go shopping.
Only catch was, when I arrived at 8:30 pm, I'd missed the last airport bus to hotel (last bus at 7 pm I think) as it's not considered one of the major hotels with high traffic. So I had to take the airport bus to Tokyo Station and transfer to the hotel, that costs an additional 1500 Yen.
I would definitely stay there again should the rates stay reasonable as my last trip. I only spent about 15 hours in the hotel, and really wished I'd had more time to enjoy the room!

"Height of Luxury"
Myself and a friend stayed at the Park Hotel on our way back from Australia in July 06 (taken me a while to get round to writing this entry!). It was a great stay from start to finish. The staff are very friendly, speak almost fluent English and are willing to help with your every need. The view from the lobby is absolutely amazing and far outshines the views from Tokyo tower which we visited on one of our tours of the city. The rooms are clean and we felt more than large enough for a few nights stay. A large array of toiletries are provided as well as tea and coffee making facilities. We didn't eat at any of the restaurants, but there is ample choice of places to eat in the shopping mall which can be accessed from the ground floor of the hotel. Contrary to some other reviews on this hotel I would say that it is well placed for exploring Tokyo. We used the subway which was easy to find and navigate, although buying a ticket without the help of a friendly Japanese man who took pity on us would have proved difficult! I think the only small quibble we had was that we had problems getting to the hotel, as it was confused with the Tokyo Park hotel. However, after reading the reviews on this site before we left we were aware that this may happen and were eventually transported to the correct hotel! Something to bear in mind but not something that should deter you from visiting this brilliant hotel, which as far as we were concerned was quite reasonably priced for a city like Tokyo.
