"The Best of Hyatt"
Well I gave up on Hyatt's years ago, moving to Starwood's where I stay 50 nights a year... I attended a conference at the Hyatt last week, and was quite surprised... Great service, great ski services!, amazing location....

"Nice place if someone else is paying!"
First, let me say that we stayed here using Hyatt points. I could not imagine payng $650 or more to stay here. I would give it a $300 value, tops. Since it was free for us, it was a great value! The hotel itself is gorgeous. Our room was huge with a great bed. The bathroom was fine but the bathtub was smaller than what I would expect for a resort hotel, though. It was what you would expect at a budget motel. The cafe had a nice selection of food/beverage at usual resort prices. The lobby was awesome, as were the firepit and hot tubs. The views of the mountain and skiers in the morning was really impressive. If I was using my own money, though, I would stay in Vail. The area around the hotel was a little dull in my opinion.

"Outstanding Resort"
My husband and I just returned from a four night stay at the Park Hyatt Beaver Creek in Colorado. From the moment we entered the resort to the time of our departure, the service was outstanding. All of the employees were very accommodating and friendly. The resort itself is stunningly beautiful, with it's use of natural wood and stone everywhere. The food was excellent and there are alot of choices within the hotel from which to choose. There is a large heated outdoor pool and six outdoor hot tubs with views of the mountain. Our room overlooked the outdoor ice rink, located in the village square, and had a nice sized balcony. The village is very quaint and has a Europeon feel to it. There are many restaurants and shops located right outside your door in the village. The Park Hyatt is truly a ski-in ski-out resort. There is a lift just opposite the ski deck where the employees help you with your skiis and boots. The mountain itself is very skiable for all levels. Even the novice skier can start from the top of the mountain at 11,000 feet and ski all the way down to the bottom. We like to ski on open cruising trails and this mountain has an abundance of them. We skied all of the mountain areas that stretch across many miles. The conditions were excellent with trails that were groomed, as well as those left with deep and fluffy powder. This resort is top notch in every way. It is very expensive and will not fit everyone's budget. But if you get the chance to go for just a few days, it is well worth it. We will definitely go back to this resort in the future!

"Loved this hotel!"
Perfect location on the slopes. Major construction going on but stay was still first class. Magnificent hotel, casual elegance, very comfortable rooms, incredible luxurious bedding, Elk bar was friendly dark and warm... with fireplaces and overstuffed couches and large top shelf selection. Room service was excellent for early am breakfast. Outdoor firepit created cold weather ambiance... as did outdoor ice skating rink (August!!!) Spa was closed due to renovation but they were doing basic services in guest rooms set up as makeshift treatment rooms. Even though treatment was top notch, lack of service was disappointing. Very nice to have guest laundry on each floor, as new airplane carry on rules were implimented mid trip. This hotel was a great choice.

"Great location"
Just returned from the Park Hyatt Beaver Creek Resort. This hotel is all about location. It sits in the center of Beaver Creek Village with walking access to pretty much everything. If you are planning a stay within the next few weeks (fall 2006) be aware that they are doing major renovations to the Hyatt. The pool and hot tubs were closed, but you were able to use the ones at the Hyatt Mountain Lodge which is a short walk away. Since we were there in the off season it was pretty quiet. There was hardly anyone else in the village during the week, however it got busier on Saturday and Sunday. If you are there during the summer months, be sure to take Centennial Lift to the Spruce Saddle restaurant at the top of the mountain. The ride and views are spectacular. They have a "lift & lunch" special for $25 per person ($15 of which is toward your lunch). I highly recommend the Hyatt. The staff was exceptional and everyone throughout the village was very friendly and helpful. The first night we were in a Hyatt guest room which was a typical (nice) hotel room w/the usual amenities. The next night we moved to an Executive King which was basically the same room, but larger with a fireplace. Very nice! I would definately stay here again.
